Home's deputy headmaster and a childhood friend of Lothur's, Tenzin is a cursebreaker-turned-family dragon. A master of Lightning elemental magic and an experienced cursebreaker, he teaches advanced magic courses alongside his role as deputy headmaster. His friendly and outgoing personality has made him very popular with the residents at Home.

- Biography
Like his best friend Lothur, Tenzin is an orphan and grew up in an orphanage in Plague territory. He was an accomplished and well-travelled cursebreaker long before he came to Home. Lothur asked him to be deputy headmaster almost the day Home was founded, but it took him a few years to come around. He's a wanderer at heart and has a difficult time staying in place for too long. His background as an orphan made him more sympathetic to Home's residents, though, and he's here to stay.

- Life at Home
As deputy headmaster, Tenzin assists with administrative duties and is generally Lothur's right-hand-dragon. He also serves as the faculty board's Lightning master, meaning he teaches courses in Lightning elemental magic. Ten also teaches advanced magic courses in cursebreaking, curse-deflection and prevention, and hexes, jinxes, and illusions. When he has enough free time, he can be convinced into teaching occasional chemistry and physics courses as well. He is nothing short of beloved among students and colleagues. His naturally cheerful and light-hearted personality make him an easy dragon to get along with, and the respect and empathy he shows for other dragons make him a personable professor. He knows that his ability to think quickly and improvise under pressure has saved his life more times than he can count, and he tries to impress critical thinking skills on his students. A firm pacifist, Ten teaches his magic students that quick thinking and good defensive magic can get them out of practically every scrape they find themselves in, no violence necessary.

- Relationships
Tenzin has an adopted son, Toiba. A dragon who can easily get caught up in his own thoughts and ambitions, he often relies on his friends on the faculty board to bring him back down to earth. He keeps all of Toiba's hatchling drawings pinned up in his office (much to Toiba's embarrassment). Ten loves working with Home's gifted young magicians and aspiring cursebreakers, and is especially close with those in Helheim Hall. He believes he would have been sorted into Helheim were he a resident at Home. He tends to get attached easily - he actually cried the first time a student dropped one of his classes. His closest friends call him Ten.

- Personality
Friendly, enthusiastic, and somewhat hyperactive, Ten is is typically always smiling and outwardly cheerful. After a life of cursebreaking and travelling, he is somewhat weary of the world and his gratitude at finally being able to settle down is plain to see. Typically outgoing, lively, and genial, he is also a fiercely protective dragon, and can be downright cold and ruthless when he thinks something is putting Home in danger. The watch he keeps around Home can border on paranoia, but those closest to him know that Tenzin is a dragon who has known loss and who is determined to keep his home and family safe. Despite most often being a friendly and respectful sort of dragon, he has a bit of an ego. He easily becomes frustrated when he doesn't feel as if he's in control of a situation (especially scary or dangerous situations) and has a tendency to think himself the smartest dragon in the room (even if he might be right on that count nine times out of ten, it's still annoying). Despite these tendencies, he is a very kind and compassionate dragon, and is often genuinely shocked when he realizes he's being rude. He has more of a sense of humour than many of his colleagues on Home's faculty board, prone to gentle teasing, and has a bit of a cheeky side to him. A kind, clever, and intensely empathetic dragon, Tenzin is absolutely devoted to Home and dedicated to protecting the family he's worked so hard to find.
