Learn more about the Fates subspecies HERE. "How lovely. A perfect conundrum of right and wrong." Zane chuckled to himself, reading over his latest piece. Sithoric was quickly becoming his favorite force of twisted ethics. The serthis' war was a masterpiece of both cruelty and necessity, and Zane was loving every bit of it. "Darjeel. Come and read my newest chapter." Zane's Assistant sauntered into his master's study. The Imperial carried a piping hot pot of tea on a tray tied to his long throat. Even with his eyes concealed by his hood, Darjeel walked to Zane's side at the desk to gaze down at the scroll the latter had been working on. After a few moments, Darjeel purred "It is so nice to see you enjoying a Character so thoroughly, Author Zane." "Indeed." the Skydancer let out a small whisper of a chuckle, "It's been so long since a Character intrigued me so. I feel like a Guardian Author, almost." "I am glad." Darjeel employed his Fately magic to levitate the teapot, having it pour steamy liquid into the little cup on the desk. "Ah. Thank you, Darjeel." |

Zane is an Author that lives to test the idea of right and wrong. After all; a hero is the villain in the eyes of those they oppose. What constitutes the ends justifying the means? How can someone claim their morals are superior to others' ideas of good and evil? Such things fascinate Zane, and he is not shy about it. He can come off as creepy, even cruel, but he has a deep passion for what he does, and that in and of itself can sometimes be endearing. Unlike most Skydancer Fates, Zane works on one character at a time, carefully spinning a tale of questionable ethics and dilemmas of morality. His current project is the story of Sithoric, a Flamescale illusionist with quite the plot indeed... Because of his unorthodox writing style and subject matter, Zane is a bit disliked by more mainstream Authors. This doesn't bother him overly, but it does make it difficult to make friends among this Fate class. It may be the reason he has dismissed so many Assistants over the centuries. It is likely also the reason he holds his current Assistant Darjeel in such high esteem. Zane's coat-of-arms is his forward pointing face, his wings outstretched and floating on either side, showing both his feathers and membranes clearly. Above his head is a halo with three horns, the middle one longer than the other two, turning the innocent halo into a demonic crown. |
