Biography

Name meaning: From the Greek name Γεωργιος (Georgios), which was derived from the Greek word γεωργος (georgos) meaning "farmer, earthworker," itself derived from the elements γη (ge) "earth, soil" and εργον (ergon) "work."

FAMILIAR: Sumptuous Cape

NOTABLE RELATIVES: Hadriel (uncle), Hollister (uncle), Pandora (aunt), Shanghai (aunt), Mercutio (uncle), Nyx (brother), Ott (brother), Ozara (sister)

Note: Outfit: King George.

Shoutout to these excellent Georges: AHamilton, TheCabinet, SkellyTelly, Rainbowlight, iceperson, JeLion

Inspired by this beautiful ham - so while he is not exactly a fandragon, I just wanted to name him George as a nod to the inspiration.
I see your over the top ridiculous but powerful villain/antagonist who poses a looming threat to the protagonists and completely steals the show during every (limited) appearance

and raise you

one big-headed ham who thinks he's a powerful and compelling presence but actually can't do sh*t if his life depended on it (still tries to steal the show, though, because we all love to hate).

His list of attempted romantic conquests goes as follows:

Zuzu (the only Wildclaw in Haven at the time who would not bite his head off for approaching),
Panacea (powerful healer + powerful fighter = good political ally and the backing of the Glade),
Indrani (as Raynan's sister and head of her own mafia division she is prime candidate for ultra protection by association),
Belle (because she pretty and even he isn't immune to the pretty),
Rust (failure to get Panacea to love him meant he at least had a backup for prolific healer baes to woo),
Achalendra (also because perty but especially since she's involved in spying and subterfuge),
Arnurna, Lorelei, Ayida, Nouveau (because they hecking look like queens),
Bhudevi (is aggressively kind to him and George is a Dumb Bish who doesn't realize it's passive-aggression),
Afi (approached of his own volition to get him to stop flirting with Bhudevi so it was worth a shot),
Sabori (as Raynan's niece she is also a prime candidate for protection by association and she's notoriously low on brains therefore easy to manipulate),
Mephistopheles (aka: the first and only one who had actually approached him with some form of interest... for unfortunate reasons, as he would later find out),
Shakespeare (another one to take an interest in him, but what use is there for a bard? perhaps a lover who's a wordsmith can sing his praises to earn him a better reputation),
Marie (she is elegant and remarkably well-versed in public relations, affection for her would translate to affection for him by association except that she seems mostly oblivious to his advances),
Beathan (low self-esteem, a desire to be Special, powerful and well-liked parents)

~.~

George came from the Abiding Boneyard of The Scarred Wasteland. An exiled king from a foreign kingdom, as he claimed. Perhaps he was removed from his previous home because he has little problem with waging war or declaring fights... as long as he doesn't have to do any of the fighting himself. He'd much rather outsource.

Sometime after his arrival to the Zephyr Steppes, he surveyed the new lands that were to be his home and decided this would be his new kingdom. Unfortunately, his first order of business was to attempt to recruit Raynan's "pinks and purples" to be his personal army - a proposal Raynan was thoroughly unimpressed by and subsequently shot down with a firm "No. Never."

Undeterred by that rejection, the displaced "king" tried to convince the rest of the crew to overthrow Raynan and work for him instead. He had been told he had a knack for inspiring political uprisings. And though he wasn't entirely certain that it had been intended as a compliment when it was said to him, he figured he ought to give it a shot. Still, he was met with a firm defeat, as their loyalty to their tiny leader could not be cracked. Naturally, Raynan was even less thrilled to hear of this suggested plot and - long story short - George and Raynan are not on good terms. A pity, really.

His next order of business was to (attempt to) secure himself a queen. But as it would turn out, the dragons here weren't exactly falling all over him as he had hoped. With very limited options on hand, George first set his sights on the only other Wildclaw in the clan that didn't look like they were about to chew his head off for so much as glancing at them. But alas, Zuzu did not seem overly thrilled by his advances either. (After a time, Raynan took notice and - George is fairly sure - offered to "make this punk disappear" for her... which she thankfully declined.) Perhaps his wooing skills needed work.

George had a short stint in the Glade, which can be summed up as "attempted subterfuge gone horribly wrong" as the dragons of the clan there were none too impressed by him. He returned with a special "garment" (i.e. Emperor's New Clothes) courtesy of Concerto (and Plum) as a result.

(More details to follow)

Anyway, after finally getting chased to the outskirts of the Labyrinth by Gypsum, George returned to the Zephyr Steppes and the clan mediators decided he required "disciplinary training" courtesy of Queenie... who just so happened to be the daughter of that madman who'd made him run for his life. And suddenly he understood why Queenie was Like That. Like father like daughter, he supposed.

After some time, one would think George had learned his lesson... but unfortunately life is often not so kind.

George had taken notice of the pirates that began cropping up in his kingdom. He watched their activities for a while, trying to decide if they could be useful to him. Everyone knew that pirates were untrustworthy scoundrels who were only good for pillaging and operated outside of the law. His law. A pirate is entirely too distasteful to be treated with respect. But these pirates were intriguing to him for a few reasons.

1) They had a cannon, which they were extremely liberal about using.
2) They had a fearless leader who appeared to be in possession of less fear than brains - a key quality for easy manipulation, considering how little brains she possessed to begin with.
3) Their leader was the niece of the mafia's leader.

All of these points were very important, of course, but the third one was where the money was.

he knows Sabori is Raynan's niece
he knows how protective Raynan is
and he also knows how much Raynan dislikes him
for reasons
but in his dumb brain he absolutely would come to the conclusion that, if he seduces Sabori with promises of power or whatever it is that would convince her to be his queen, that would automatically get Raynan on his side too... because Raynan wouldn't go against family

Maris is his biggest obstacle because she 100% was not having any of his nonsense. She outright refused to agree to his "terms" because no way was she letting her Charges get mixed up in a war even if she had to hold Sabori back herself.

Meanwhile, Shih is just like "I'll let the nice gentleman talk. and if I don't like what he has to say, I'll take his tongue~ ^^" in the sweetest way possible.
Shih would 100% slaughter him and chop him up in to itty bitty little pieces which will be scattered to all corners of Sornieth so no one will be able to piece him back together again XD
and then she would host a tea party afterwards like nothing happened
just business as usual

Little did he realize he would also have to contend with Kulap's fiery tornadoes on top of threats from Shih and Raynan.

While in the midst of this, George was also pursuing other potential queens. On a certain level, George is not entirely opposed to extramarital affairs. Certainly not his own, but also
as long as he is firmly convinced that his partner is still wrapped around his little finger, he'd be like "oh yeah, you wanna go off and seduce other dragons? I see this as the perfect opportunity to recruit more loyal subjects, so have fun~" (He appears to have no idea that this is the stuff insurrections are made of.)

In his continuous attempt to court Bhudevi, he took slight advantage of his (unwelcome) access to the pirates to (poorly) attempt to claim a gift Sabori was sending to her brother as his own gift to the aggressively kind Pearlcartcher he was convinced liked him. This attempt involved writing a note the moment he heard of Sabori's gift, marking the note with a wax seal, and quickly shoving it into the box with the gift before anyone could notice him tampering with the package and foil his plan. Unfortunately, he did not have time to check if Sabori had already attached a note, but he did not think that should matter.

His own note read:

To The Ever-Lovely Bhudevi,
I have personally hand-selected these sparkling earrings just for you as a token of my love. I wish for you to wear them and think of me so that I may see how gorgeous they are on your beautiful visage during my next visit. Cry not in my absence, my love.
Yours Truly,
King George

The message he received in return was... not what he had expected.

In a carefully addressed envelope, sealed with blood red wax, it read:

To his majesty, George-forgive my impertinence for answering in her stead, but I am afraid to inform you that Bhudevi is simply kind to everyone; she holds no romantic feelings or intentions towards you. But don't give up, darling. I'm sure one of our clan will be a good match for one as well-bred as you.

It's signed with an M.

This singular response launched his next conquest with a dragon from the Glade called Mephistopheles, not to be confused with Haven's Mephisto whom George would not touch with a 39-and-a-half foot pole if he was paid to. This Mephistopheles, though already married, in all appearances seemed very interested in him. At first, this delighted him greatly, but then he started noticing some... strange occurrences.

George: "Hey, why are you using a knife to eat a salad?"

Mephistopheles: "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, this is how fancy people eat salad, darling. Goodness, we need to whip you into shape, don't we?"

An arrow. And a bullet. Knives. Poison. And so many more very strange and very dangerous situations continued to crop up. If he didn't know better, he would think someone was trying to murder him. In front of his salad.

Garna, as Jolly George: [pantomimes being stabbed in the back]

George: "That's a weird way of telling a joke."

Shakespeare, taking one look at the situation: "My dear, I do believe she is trying to kill you."

George: [surprised pikachu]

Mephistopheles, looking at Shakespeare and planning his murder: "Why I would never. Now George, completely unrelated, but whatever is your blood type?"

Shakespeare: "But Mephi darling, if you succeeded, who would we have fun picking on~?"

Shakespeare finds it hilarious
Garna has more material for her act
everyone wins
except George
who still doesn't understand that he's part of a big joke

But this, too, was not meant to last. Mephi eventually tired of him and left with some blood to return to her husband in the Glade. At least George had Shakespeare to comfort him until Marie came along and he set out on another conquest. She did not seem especially receptive to him, but she wasn't telling him to leave her alone either! Mozart, for his part, appeared to be a deplorable mate for her, as he didn't try even once to intervene. So, George figured he would be able to endear himself to the pair with enough persistence.

One would think that George would have learned to pick his battles better by now when it comes to the Glade, but evidently getting blacklisted by the entire Mirror pack wasn't enough. Upon learning of Beathan's low self-esteem and desire to be special, he decided to make his move. Never mind the fact that he had already struck out with several members of his family before and it would be considered poor tact in most circles. When had that ever stopped him before? Beathan's parents were powerful and well-liked, so exploiting a personal weakness to gain loyalty sounded beneficial to him! Besides, if he timed it just right around the Glade's patrols, Sequoia wouldn't be around to skewer him with arrows again.

Unfortunately, the attempt was anything but beneficial, as an unexpected Fae blew the whistle on him and poor George was chased all the way back to Haven by practically the entire Hive.

George would not let this discourage him. After all, he was still in Marie's good graces back in Haven. Except... it was no longer just Marie and Mozart he would have to contend with. Another musician had turned their duo into a trio and George quickly realized that he would have to watch his back, as Salieri proved to be a vicious beast when angered and he was very protective of the sweet little queen. But that was no matter.

As he observed the situation and learned what he could about this newcomer through the grapevine, he discovered the perfect opportunity to plant the seeds of discourse in their garden. Unfortunately, what started as a tiny rumor quickly spread into a very large panic and, while that is not what George had initially planned, he wasn't going to fess up to his part in it. Instead, he sat back and watched the destruction unfold with a mild amount of amusement... until Eris spoiled the fun and solved the mystery, setting things mostly back to normal. If it hadn't been for Carmenta's digging, George is sure he would have gotten away without suspicion, but in the end she offered him a deal - she wouldn't throw him to Queenie or Panacea for reprimanding as long as he apologized to Salieri for causing so much trouble - and he took it without question. The fewer people who knew about his mistakes the better, in his book! After all, a proper king should be viewed as infallible by his subjects. A little appeasement here and there ought to keep the outliers in line.
