Political opponents in Dragonhome breathe a sigh of relief when she leaves; other territories don't know what hit them. Involved in the spice trade to provide herself the funds and means to travel all over Sornieth, collecting information on history, culture and current events everywhere she goes. ______ ______ ______ ______  While in the Windswept Plateau she's studying spirals' traditional whirlicue dances to learn to incorporate some of the movements into her dramatic storytelling, despite her extra bulk and lack of approximately fourteen thousand extra vertebrae. She translates their fullbody twists into arm, hip, belly and wing action that gives an illusion she somehow has fewer bones than she ought. ______ ______ ______ ______  Manages to maintain cordially competitive relations with Vangerdahast since their audiences mostly diverge; she takes the accolades for single spotlight oratory, and Van takes the applause for full stage performances. Hodgepodge is so interested in the countless books and scrolls Samarkand has accumulated memory of in her travels that she pays any willing dragon with legible script to help her scribe everything Samarkand will recount. No amount offered will let her copy Samarkand's personal journals as the book they'll become isn't nearly done yet.

Re'em got a glimpse of all the really nice things she travels with and at least one of his pillows deserves to live in that kind of luxury, so he snuck one in even though he won't be able to check up on it after she leaves. (He drew lots to decide which one. It wouldn't be fair otherwise.) (He hasn't managed to sneak in more than one, but she hasn't left yet...) |
