The eldest waking daughter of the Deathweaver clan, Rynna has tentatively assumed leadership over the clan while her parents slumber in meditation. The clan has grown considerably in the years since its shift from the Windswept Plateau to the Plaguelands, and its collective values have splintered during that time. Dragons from all species and flights have joined the Deathweavers, and Rynna has her work cut out for her between them and her ambitious younger sister, Maren, who is rumored to have been whispering with the Green in her sleep.

Old clanmates, like Kalarin and Nideth, support Rynna as much as they can, but they can only do so much against the vocal and spiritual strength of the Aberrations who have joined the clan's ranks. The Aberration Zaza wants Maren to answer for her alleged crime of consorting with the enemy of the Plaguemother, while Aelwen and Doru seem content to allow discord to sow itself among the clan. Rynna has sought the counsel of Draga, who, in his silent way, has given her strong advice that she has yet to reveal to the clan at large.
