Skyshard

Skyshard had originally hailed from the Viridian Labyrinth. As a young dragon he yearned to leave the comfort of his homelands and see what the world had to offer. For a long time, he denied himself those feelings, having decided it was safer to stick to the lands that he knew.

That was until he met an adventurer from the Starfall Isles. Aftermath was her name and she hailed from a clan that took in many a dragon, from big to small. Skyshard offered her shelter and food in exchange for stories of her adventures. Under a fading fire the two chatted long into the night. Aftermath gladly shared stories of all the gorgeous places she'd been through so far. While recounting the tales of the glimmering trees in the Starwood Strand and the many creatures that lived beneath them Aftermath noticed Skyshard looked a bit sad. After she questioned him he admitted he had wanted to adventure since he was a wee lad but worried about the safety of it. Aftermath explained to him that although it could be dangerous, the joy of getting to experience new things always made it worth it. She offered to let him tag along on her journey home. If he hated the experience she'd gladly turn right back around and get him home.

Skyshard had to think on it. Was he willing to leave the place he'd always know? What would his family think? So he decided to rest on it....

On a whim he decided to go with her. He'd rather be able to say he tried and hated it rather than wonder what could have been. Together they packed his prized possessions into a small bag and left at sunrise. It wasn't particularly hard to say goodbye to his family. Most of his siblings had gone on to serve various flights and his parents were just okay.


When he reached the Midnight Court it was just a handful of dragons. He was horrified to learn how unprotected this clan was! He put his adventures on hold and started to train himself and plenty of dragons.
