From the moment he hatched, swiftly bundled into the arms of a thrilled mother and kind-eyed father from the shells of their only egg, there was one thing that was undeniable: this boy was lucky.

That was fortunate, considering his penchant for getting himself into trouble.

Lucky had always been a hassle as a hatchling, but never with bad intentions - anything he could get his little hands on, he did, wanting to know and understand everything around him. This curiosity became lifelong, and was only amplified by his mother's tales she'd bring home from her work as a mail-carrier, his imagination heavy with dreams of all the sights that Sornieth could offer.

When he was old enough, there was no denying the inevitable. Every day that he could, Lucky got closer and closer to the ports that saw their way into the rest of the world, and his gaze grew more wistful every time.

It was time for him to see himself out, and forge his own path.

The goodbyes were bittersweet: hugs and assurances were shared with barely-restrained tears, and promises to visit were made. A gift was given before he left - a locket, picked by his mother and enchanted by his father, that would always be able to guide Lucky home.

With only one look back over his home, Lucky fluffed his feathers, took in a breath, and saw himself out.

There was a wide open world for him to see, and he didn't want to wait a moment longer to start seeing it.

Uh-oh, looks like this faefolk wanderer ventured a little too far from his home lair (ciphering #122060), and now he's off to see the world!
