Biography

Jokull - The Wayfarer

Personnel Infobox wrote:

Thematic Name: Jokull

Designation: The Wayfarer

Role(s): Ambassador/Flight Rep (Ice), Explorer, Scientist/Researcher

Field(s)/Specialt(y/ies): Glaciology

Other: Partnered to Rime, the Frigid Gem Guardian.
Was not officially a Flight Rep upon joining - Flight Reps assume their positions during their respective elemental holidays.
Best friends with Lux.
Often out exploring/doing field work, usually in the Southern Icefield. Amee frequently accompanies her.
Real name is Skadi.

Note: I've seen plenty of wacky things, but it'll take me a while to get used to a 'Maren' just casually swimming through the air. - Stormsurge

Name: Aselis

Species: Longneck Skirmisher

Role(s): Diplomat (Delegate from Allied clan)

Field(s)/Specialt(y/ies): N/A

Other: Unlike the other beastclanners of the Phrontistery, Aselis is not officially a part of the Phrontistery. Jokull befriended this Longneck during one of her many wanderings, and makes sure to meet up with him every time she’s in the area.
Recently, the elders of Aselis’ herd have consented to the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Phrontistery. The Skirmisher has become a de-facto representative of his herd during dealings with the Phrontistery.

This little mouse assisted her and accompanied her on her travels. She is now enjoying a well-deserved break from adventure, helping her mistress whenever she's not performing fieldwork.

Jokull befriended this Longneck Skirmisher during one of her many trips into the Southern Icefields. Aselis was initially prepared to drive off what he thought was yet another draconic intruder who’d somehow blundered into the area near one of his tribe's sacred sites, but he was caught completely off guard by Jokull’s friendly, cheery demeanour, her respectful treatment of the artefacts, and her offer to leave if it offended him. He allowed her to stay, and told her everything he knew about the site.

  • Jokull is a very eccentric dragoness; with her love of adventure and curious nature, she's become the perfect embodiment of an explorer. She's been to all corners of Sornieth, and she keeps on going further and further, as far as she can go. Some places, of course, she cannot conquer- but she swears she'll return!
  • Unfortunately, Jokull is... Clumsy. To put it simply. She's gotten tangled in ropes even when she wasn't actively using them, and gods know how long it can take her to squeeze her head though her jacket neck and not it's sleeve. Despite this she's always merry, and often jokes about her own clumsiness. She's really hard to dislike.
  • Jokull is, despite her birth flight, always cold to some degree and refuses to take her beloved jacket off. She's got poor circulation in her paws too, so gloves are a must, and her tail (if left unattended in the cold for too long), becomes stiff and painful to move, so she wears a cozy. Other clan members call her an odd Tundra, but that's exactly what she is and she's proud.
  • Jokull has tried to eat fish before, but- she just- can't. She's always been fascinated by ice-fishing, and she's quite good at it, but she just can't handle fish, and if she has more than a tiny amount of fish, she'll be incredibly ill for DAYS. You'll often see her eating cookies and crackers in the shape of fish as a substitute, though. It's just a little quirk of hers that other dragons find endearing, honestly.

Jokull's Flight Rep outfit - she flat out refuses to wear it unless it's absolutely necessary, i.e. the Crystalline Gala. Outside of that, the most you can convince her to do is to carry the standard.
