I am not always able to respond after receiving the art. I feel a lot of anxiety in regards to responding to art, I always fear that my response won't be good enough or what I'm thinking won't come across properly, and I feel if I don't respond to something within a certain period of time it'll seem weird if I do respond. This tends to lead to me not responding at all.

Please know that I love and appreciate anything you draw! I just don't have the words to express it. Your art is amazing, and it always brightens my day to see it! Thank you for drawing my dragon

--Random lore notes:

Many of Arzi's tendencies are considered odd for Wildclaws. Preferring Magic over physical confrontation, healing and pacifism over violence and aggression. That isn't to say, however, that he is afraid to get his claws bloodied. If it is to protect the ones he loves he can and will fight with honour and strength. He just doesn't see the point of needless fighting over perceived insults or threats

Though he is of Ice flight he feels little to no loyalty to the Icewarden and much prefers living in Arcane territories

Arzi spent several years studying magic alongside scholars in Arcane territory after fleeing from his old clan in Ice. During his studies he developed an affinity for healing magic, and has since devoted himself to becoming a healer

Arzi met Steel long before joining the clan. He and Steel travelled together briefly before Arzi had to go on the run. Steel helped Arzi find a safe place to settle down

Arzi stole Orion's egg. I haven't decided the exact scenario surrounding him stealing the egg, but it's important to note that he fled from the arcane dragons he stole it from and into Ice territory, where he would remain on the run with Orion for the next year, until he was able to join his current clan here in the Starfall isles

Arzi's steampunk spats have a practical use as leg braces to help with pain and mobility issues caused by his Opal mutation

Most everyone loves Arzi. Along with being the official medic for the clan, he is also kind of like the unofficial leader. Always there for everyone and always providing advice. Although he may not realize it at times, people look up to him greatly. Constantly wondering what he would do in a certain situation or being more thankful than needed on a small piece of advice. He is very humble and is constantly thinking of what he could have done or what would help a certain situation the most.

He came to the clan when he was a young adult. He had been suffering in the past, abandoned by a former clan, never knowing his parents, and constantly struggling in social situations. He found his clan and immediately started meeting people and making friends. At first, he was really surprised, his automatic instinct to think it was some big joke or trap. Soon realizing he had nothing to worry about and learning so much from his fellow clanmates, he has worked hard on himself and the clan and now looks back on those days, so thankful for all the people around him.

Healing is a double-edged sword. On one hand, Arzi knows that he's helping and keeping everyone safe, especially since he's not a fighter. On the other hand, he feels very underappreciated and feels like he doesn't get recognized. He also has realized that people get hurt in very stupid ways, much to his irritation. At least he gets to look forward to hanging out with Steel. They always have a fun time but recently there's been a development. He's noticed that it's hard to look at Steel as a friend anymore, but he knows that Steel doesn't feel the same... right?

Steel has always been as his name implies--solid and dependable. He is always exploring and drawing on his maps, looking for new landmarks or ancient ruins undiscovered by dragons. He tends to go on and on about his findings and what he's planning to explore next. When others try to tell him something he can be dismissive but he's not trying to be mean; he just thinks that he knows the solution to the problem. Being the cartographer, his space in the lair is full of maps and compasses, trinkets that he's found and other such things. Recently he has found something foreign-a crush for Arzi. He feels this weird fluttery feeling when he's around him or when he's being healed by him (when it's not the wounds). He wants to admit his crush but there's no way that Arzi likes him too... right?

The duo is perfect for each other. Steel is energetic and talkative while Arzi is quiet and reserved. Arzi will put his own health and happiness on the line for his friends and family, which Steel is concerned for him when he does this, but still admires the wildclaw's selflessness. Steel is full of passion for exploring and making his maps, which Arzi loves. The only problem: neither of them know the other likes them. They assume that the other isn't into them, so they hide their feelings around each other, but everyone can see how perfect they are for each other.

Arzi is full of energy! He is always bouncing around and his curiosity has him looking under rocks and up in the trees.

He loves to run and hop over flying, but when he does fly his wings are extremely majestic in the wind. He works a lot of the time teaching the hatchlings in his lair how to fly for the first time, which is also why he hops so much to stay on the ground where the hatchlings are.

He is always around all the hatchlings in his layer, being a very protective punny dad to all of them. He is always there as soon as one of them has fallen or scraped their leg. He makes sure to give them a bandage, a kiss on their injury and calming words to comfort them.

Steel,

I hope you are alright in the Arcane domain. I miss you so much, and it is getting harder to deal with it everyday. You are currently plaguing my mind every waking moment. I cannot wait to see you again.

In other news, me and Orion have been alright. The Southern Icefields is a little cruel to him, for he does not possess the same ability to weather the cold elements like I do. Worry not, for I have found many pelts, coats, and warm accessories to bundle him in. I also make sure to stop and start fires to warm up by where frostbite is no worry.

The food here has also been easy to come by, or maybe it is my abilities to hunt here finally coming back. I have found many rabbits for us! We have feasted like kings for a few days now. It isn’t anything as good as you make us , but it will have to pacify us for now.

To be honest with you, I am afraid. Maybe Orion and I will forever be on the run. That we will never see each other again. That the two of us will be forever stuck in these stupid Icefields
I just can't wait to see you again. I will never regret what I did, but it is taking a toll on me that I might not be able to see you again.

You are so important to me, and to Orion. He keeps on asking when we will be able to be together again. Once we find a place to settle down, I cannot wait to be a true family. I know that in my heart that day will be soon, Steel. Your dedication never ceases to amaze me. You would never give up on us like that. Yet still, ill thoughts take hold when we rest in the night. They are as haunting and bitter as the wind.

I must go now, for if we stick around too long, we will be found.

Arzi has a massive wingspan compared to his body, which makes it difficult for him to fly. Even though he can fly gracefully and efficiently through the air, he prefers to stay on the ground, as he always has to get a running start or jump off of a high place to get into the air. Arzi is very good at gliding, though, and can stay aloft for very long periods of time without having to flap once. Aside from flying, his wings do make a good blanket for when he needs to wrap himself (or his family) in his wings to keep warm.
