Beneath the twirling kites of the Cloudsong, there lies a series of cliffs dotted with bamboo and lilies, cliffs that swirl with mists in the morning and stretch toward the sun in the afternoon. And beneath those cliffs and their thriving greenery, there lies a network of caverns, their entrance marked by the flutter and loops of a beautiful silk kite in vibrant yellows and greens.

This is the home of Dandelion Clan, hidden not to deter visitors, but to keep them safe from the unpredictable ways of the wind. Founded by Gale and Arwen after the latter's unsuccessful brush with the Twisting Crescendo, it was established as a sanctuary for dragons who had failed to brave the Windsinger's prize storm, no matter their reasons. Whether from a lack of courage or unexpected injury, dragons who could not cross the Crescendo were welcome to rally themselves under the Dandelion banner.

These days, though, Dandelion Clan is not a simple sanctuary. With time, dragons have remembered the kindness showed to them in these halls, and have returned to take part in it once more. Where the underground tunnels were once empty and plain, now they stream with pinwheels and banners denoting merchants one way and accommodations the other. Shipping kites come and go, inspected by Gale personally, while vendors hawk their wares to travelers spending a day or two in the clan's good graces. Sconces bring color and light to the walls, and the lilting whistle of bamboo pipes affixed to the clan's many cliffside exits sing of the current weather conditions with unfailing accuracy.

Dandelion Clan is no mere wayside attraction or temporary stop. Long after its visitors depart, it remains a home, brimming with the smells of home-cooked meals and the murmured song of many dragons gathered together in the evening, trading their stories like precious stones. Repeat visitors are always welcome, as are new residents looking to put an end to their travels and settle at last.
