"Ask yourself now: are you satisfied with what you accomplished in your life?" |
xx | As with all things, balance is the ultimate goal in the world. Where there is light, there is darkness. Where there is joy, there is pain. And where there is life, death must follow. When Ya breathed life into dragonkind and all the other living beings that roamed the land, unlike Ko and Ri, they created only two helpers—the twins, Vitya and Obitus. Obitus was tasked with assisting in maintaining the balance of life by ending what lingered to long, and guiding those beings on to the next world. He was gifted with the wisdom, patience, and neutrality to do these tasks, and those came along with a warmth and joy to interact with the mortal realm and its inhabitants altogether. |
xx | When Taji ascended to the heavens and the new age began, Obitus and his fellow helpers came to be known as the Old Gods. Though many unhappy Old Gods soon disappeared in search of Ko, Ri, and Ya, Obitus did not follow. He and Vita remained with a handful of the other Old Gods, and he found a great joy in helping acclimate the ascended gods to their new lives. Obitus played a big role in helping form the Highest Council of the Gods’ Realm, and wholeheartedly endorsed the bestowing of the title Emperor God onto Taji. Despite his lifeless aura, his warm and outgoing nature was very good at drawing the new gods in, and he quickly came to be known as the least intimidating of the Old Gods to talk to, quickly making many friends among the ascended gods. |
xx |
Obitus is very friendly and calm, which comes in handy when he guides frightened dragons and creatures through crossing into the afterlife while soothing their fears. Of the heavens, Vitya is whom he would consider himself closest to. They were sung into being from the same thought, after all, and no one knows a twin better than the other half of the set. Obitus has many friends though, and many more he is friendly with. His opinion is highly valued even while Vitya is the one known for fairness and impartiality, so he often gets nervous requests to talk to his sister on someone else’s behalf. This always amuses him but he happily agrees, and though neither twin is a member of the Highest Council, it’s well-known that even the council closely considers their opinions and judgments. |

「 extras 」 » Obitus is rather calm and caring when helping frightened dragons cross to the afterlife, and surprisingly good at soothing their fears. » He was close to many of the Old Gods who have disappeared, and misses them (along with Ya) greatly. » He has never had a “day off” since the day of his creation, though he does secretly dream of having some personal time. |
