Mate: Sull

Meztli is the daughter of the Lady-In-Waiting, Zormi. Unfortunately for the coatl siblings, herself and Chicahua, they inherited Zormi's dull feathers and scales. Meztli suspects that she is doomed to mate with a dragon from a different breed, just like Zormi was, since coatl won't look at dull-coloured ones. Even so, Meztli likes masking this shame with shiny baubles and ornaments. She inherited some of Zormi's greed and vanity, after all.

After Chicahua's adventure of gaining his plumes blessed by the Windsinger, Meztli grew deeply envious. She decided to walk Chicahua's path, but due to her difficult, impatient personality, she was turned down by the Windsinger's followers. Meztli hides this envy and shame by wearing even more expensive and precious trinkets. Due to this, she is relatively distant from everyone from the clan, save for her Greatowl and the Court artist, Sull. In the end, Sull was the only one able to permeate her cold heart and show her empathy. So they stick together, in genuine love. Meztli may seem venomous to everyone else in the Chateau, but never to her Lady and Sull, the only ones she truly trusts.
