An upbeat and friendly Skydancer. Zephyr spends most of his time at the city library composing poetry. He's not very good at it, but what matters is that he's having a good time. When he's not writing his own poetry, he's often listening to Haleakala's masterful ballads or hanging around the Temple of Wind. Zephyr is technically a master Wind mage. He enlisted into the Windsinger's army for a short time, which is where he learned to gain control of his magic. However, he left the army after becoming a master mage and went traveling across the Windswept Plateau. While in Aergate City he happened to be in the same cafe as Cobalt, captain of the T.R.A.F. Interstellar. Cobalt managed to convince Zephyr to come with her back to Traveler's Rest, since he had been thinking about leaving the Plateau. After arriving in the city, Zephyr somehow got roped into being the Envoy of Wind. He wasn't really interested in the position, but accepted out of politeness. He didn't have much of a taste for the Envoy's duties of temple upkeep, worship, and paperwork, but he did have a taste for Nature Envoy Laurel. The two wanted to be married, but for some reason the First Five had banned romantic relationships between the Envoys. (The First Five didn't know who included that clause, or why, but they can't change it now.) So Zephyr resigned from his position and proposed to Laurel while the ink on his resignation was still wet. He didn't even stick around to train his replacement, Jetstream. Zephyr is very happy to be retired. He gets to spend all day bouncing ideas for poems off his kitsune friend Yanagi and drinking a truly shocking amount of mint iced tea at the Kitchen Sink. His favorite thing to do, however, is walk around the city with his husband. |
