Laurel is the Rest's Envoy of Nature. He watches over the Temple of Nature, maintaining it with the occasional help of Seikatsu. He is a stately dragon, always polite to those he respects. The exception to this is his friendly rivalry with Phantasm, the Envoy of Plague.

Laurel was formerly one of the senior members of the Gladeknights, an order of warriors sworn in service to the Gladekeeper. Laurel was dispatched to defend the Viridian Embassy in the Scarred Wasteland, and was there to witness the eruption of the First Seed. He was horrified to see his god's magic used for so much destruction, and though he fought valiantly, he stepped down from the Gladeknights after returning to the Viridian Labyrinth. After his resignation, Laurel decided to retire to the coast of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He eventually found his way to Traveler's Rest, which turned out to be the perfect place for an old knight to relax in. He settled in peacefully, even feeling comfortable enough to reveal his past as a Gladeknight to the First Five, who then named him Envoy of Nature.

His job nowadays still leaves much time for relaxing. Especially since he's taken on Farris as his ward, Laurel has the young knight handle many of the tedious affairs that come with running the temple. This leaves Laurel with more time to chat with temple-goers and his fellow envoys. When he's not taking care of the temple, Laurel leaves it in the capable hands of Seikatsu and walks around town with his husband, former Envoy of Wind Zephyr.

little notes
-he and Phantasm sit on their lawns and yell at each other in a friendly way
-has the lawn in front of the nature temple covered in very tasteful lawn decorations
-he and Zephyr go on double dates with Haru and Haleakala all the time
