Zorion

Bonding over your love of stars with an actual star is probably the cutest thing ever.



-The lighthouse keeper for the Spire Tip Lighthouse, which is located off the southern coast of Lexa Island. His job is to keep the light lit, but it doesn't require as much maintenance as you'd expect seeing as the light itself is magical in nature. His job ends up being mostly just keeping the glass clean, and occasionally rescuing lost people.
-Has a bit of a problem with directions, which is to say he has no sense of direction. The type that could get lost in an empty room, and absolutely cannot be trusted with a map. Still, things usually end up turning out okay for him no matter how lost he might get and in a way he enjoys getting lost and meeting new people.
-Has a totally platonic crush on Athanasios. A friend crush. Nothing more. Definitely.
-Zorion's name means "happy" in his mother's native language. She told him that she gave him that name because he was the only happiness in her bleak life, and she wanted him to always be reminded that no matter what happens he made her the happiest mother in the world. Then she died.
-Before his mother died, she would spend a lot of time telling him stories and legends that her own parents would tell her. Among these stories, a few of them were about how the dead are never truly gone forever, and that they'd live on in the stars and in your memories. This contributed quite a bit towards Zorion's eventual love of stars. That, and he found the many stories and myths behind stars just absolutely captivating. He does find it comforting to think that his loved ones would always watch over him in the stars though.
-Never knew his father, because he disapeared before Zorion was even born. His mother would always tell him stories about his father though, and all these stories made him feel closer to this father he never really knew. She always insisted that Zorion's father was a wonderful man, and only left to fight to keep Zorion and his mom safe.
-When he visits town to get supplies, he always makes sure to visit the library to feed Irri's Knowledge Seekers. They always seem to know the exact day he visits, and will gather near the lobby of the library. Irri still seems shy around him though, and will stillrun when she sees him.
-Zorion himself is pretty introverted, and while he's friendly to everyone he doesn't have a lot of "close" friends. Only a select few get to claim that title; and chief among them is Athanasios.
-Likes to fly above the clouds at night, especially when he can't sleep and just watch the stars because it always makes him feel better and reminds him of his mother. This is how he and Athanasios first met.
-A bit weak-willed when it comes to Athanasios, and willing to drop whatever he's doing at a moment's notice whenever Athansios on a whim decides to take him on an adventure. He always makes sure to find someone else to perform his duties for him though, and the lighthouse is never truly unmanned. But still, he lets Athanasios drag him around. He doesn't mind, and he enjoys making new memories and seeing new sights so it works out.
-Really, really loves reading; especially myths. Tends to spend forever learning about each new culture's history and legends whenever he's in a new place. He especially likes making Athanasios read to him, or explain what they know about the area because Zorion just...thinks Athanasios is the best at telling stories. There's something comforting about closing his eyes and listening to Athanasios talk.
-Keeps a book of friends, and likes to make all the new people he meets sign it; so that he can remember them forever. Honestly the most wholesome pure boy I have in my lair.
-A pacifist by choice, and he hates seeing people fight. Likes to mediate conflicts, and try to reach a conclusion that both sides can be happy with. He will defend his friends tooth and claw if he has to though.
