THE PATH OF THE VOICES

Orion came in the clan in his early teenagehood. He decied very young that he wanted to journey across Sornieth to discover the world and new dragons, in order to earn experience and to make friends across the world. He travelled in the Southern Icefield, the Ashfall Waste and the Shifting Expanse before landing in the Windswept Plateau. He tried to contact Water clans in the Sea of Thousands Currents after not finding the Ashfall Waste and the Shifting Expanse's philosophy fiting his opinion on life even if he had met a few friends, but the previous travels tired him a lot as he was very young for such a trip. He ended on an island, exhausted and lost, unable to contact anyone.

That's when Elithe and Mervan on their merchant boat, returning from an expedition in the Viridian Labyrinth, found him and brought him home. We healed him and let him rest in the clan, welcoming him and sharing stories of travels. He began to hang around the Explorers Guild, and it quickly seemed that he really found a heart home in Ogrenat. We offered him to stay and he gladly accepted.

As we usually do with our young clan members, we made him try several roles and occupations in the clan in order to help him know wich role he was willing to take. At first, even if he was still afraid of the loneliness and danger he experienced during his journey, he was willing to overcome it and began to attend to the Explorers Guild. And then came the theater play the Troup presented one night. He was really discovering theater and enjoyed it a lot. He began to come to the rehearsals and to help a bit with the stage managing as a hobby.

And one day, Dionys had a loss of voice. Orion had already been prompter and they quickly made up a plan where he had to voice Dyonis' playback. He who always dreamed in his heart to stand on stage and to act but never dared to accept a role even if the troup offered him to do so several time because of stage fright and shyness had the best opportunity to fulfill his dream by staying hidden. This show was a revelation, for himself as well as for the troup. He understood that night not only he was made for the stage, but also he loved it much more than any other activity. It took him several weeks to have enough courage to ask Dyonis to be a full time member of the troup – he accepted at the very second he ended his sentence, and Orion immediately left the Explorers for the troup.

Since that day, Orion made lots of efforts to become a great actor and worked a lot on his acting. He is very happy with the troup and in the clan, and his job feels like a dream came true. He had a hard time overcoming his stage fright and developping enough self-assurance to be assertive on stage, but finally managed. He discovered throught diverse parts and and training that he had a knack for voice acting and that owed him a bit of fame around the clan. He usually plays the small parts that require strong voice differenciation, and is also the Narrator voice and the presentator for the shows. He still take some journeys with the Explorers and he enjoys a lot watchning at the games the tabletop rpg group play – he even had some apparitions as a guest in it and his voice acting of the different characters have a lot of success. Latheilen says that his presence made the player more involved into acting their characters and that made the games even better.

COMPANIONS

Familiar

Orion met Erius, his closest friend, as he journeyed towards our clan. They have a very strong and close exclusive relationship. Erius is the only one Orion allows to hold his pearl and the maren barely speaks to any other dragon or beastclan. He is likely the most important being in Orion's life, making it sometimes a bit difficult to understand for Orion's friends and especially his mate, Acrux.

▸ Favorite things : chill morning wind, the beauty of the night frost and the glistening of morning like on ice, playing a new character and playing an old character he loves

▸ Disliked things : Hot and dry weather, conflicts, economy and down to earth talks

RELATIONSHIPS:

▸ Mate: Acrux – their relationship is just the cutest. Their shy and genuinely cheerful hanging out is adorable.

▸ Familiy: He was born in an Ice Clan and sometimes send news to his family back there.

▸ Friends: Apart from Erius, Orion is friend with the members of the Theater Troup, with the members of Explorer's Guild (especially Helianemos and Eole) and with the roleplaying game group (lead by Latheilen).

▸ Master/pupil: Dyonis, as the head of the Troup, is some kind of senpai to him and even a form of elder brother.

▸ Works with: The Theater Troup (Dyonis, Acrux and Braavis), sometimes Janus, Tagora and Cendel for special effects and magic shows, and Sov for the music.

_RAISING STAR_

____As Orion began to hang around the Theater Troup and to befriend his members, he had the hardest time talking with Acrux, the Windsong that captured his attention during the play. She was talented and bright. And he felt like he wasn't worth this rising star blessed by the Windsinger Himself. He tried to spend as many time as he could with her, quietly standing by her side, watching her fusional frienship with Dyonis bloom as she didn't seem interested in him – but as long as she enjoyed his presence, he was happy.
____Until the day Dyonis decided of an unusual part repartition for a play – a dramatic romance. He used to play the main male part, but as the troup was growing up he was willing to focus on his stage director role more than his actor role for major plays. That's how Orion and Acrux had to play the lovers... The emotionnal intensity they both put in those parts and this very play revealed in them strong theater partners, as well as feelings that seem to blend between their own the character's. The day of the first representation, Orion felt a strong stage fright as it was his first main part as a troup member, and as he was afraid to fail something so important for Acrux and to loose her trust. He was on the verge of an anxiety attack, but Dyonis came at him and helped him calm down. At the very instant he put atalon on the stage and became his character, fear and axiety vanished, and he gave one of his best acting so far. The memory of that night , however, will always be for him one of his greatest accomplishments as well as one of his greatest acting fails, for the kiss that happened on stage was his own, and the courage he proved was his and not his character's. I was going out of character even if the audience didn't saw it... But what an exit of character it had been !
____After the success of the play, the two actors knew a long period of total uneffectiveness being right next to each other, as Acrux seemed to be unable to stand next to the poor, confused, Orion anymore. Once again, it took an intervention of Dyonis to help her talk to him. And that's how they began to go out with each other. Now, they are the cutest couple ever and it's always a pleasure to see this alchemy between them on stage.
