» Biography

Vizier is the queen's personal alchemist, ensuring that which he produces is up to her royal standards, improves their home, and furthers their efforts. He's a smug individual, arrogant beyond measure, and is of Phalanx's brood - although this isn't made obvious by design. Vizier never cared for glorious battle, nor did he have any interest in adopting his father's tactical mindset. Instead, Vizier was drawn to Shal'anir herself and the silver ichor that runs thick through her roots, and sought a different path to the one laid out before him.

The mysterious serum that flowed through Shal'anir etched glowing runes in her bark, creating small deposits in and around her boughs, and, although many saw the importance of it, only Vizier sought to truly harness it. Whether it was just an innate curiosity or an attempt to better himself over his siblings, he took up alchemy of the most primal kind; seeking to research, harness, and manipulate the silver ichor Shal'anir bled. This makes him of particular interest to Vesper, who, as Shal'anir's songs shift, starts to see enemies encroaching from beneath - enemies that must be fought tooth and claw to protect their home.

Vizier soon found that the ichor could harden under the right pressure and coat an array of items to improve their integrity, or even be used to forge new items entirely. Blades, arrowheads, and armour could be infused with the ichor during their creation to even increase further the natural properties it provided, and although Vizier doesn't make these items himself, he is often present during the forging process in order to impart his knowledge and oversee his research come to life. The unusual glint in his eye when he sees something of particular ingenuity has been likened to a madman seeing his plans come to fruition, and it's not unusual to have Vizier disappear for days on end in his bough, slaving away over his latest piece of research, in order to see his dreams become reality.

Yet, it's not just Vizier's skill with alchemy that means he's of particular interest. He's also a cunning dragon even by shadow flight standards. Words come as easily to Vizier as an intake of breath; hidden meanings laced beneath a façade of innocence and threats unrealised by everyone but he who speaks them. For him, there is an art to his speech and Vizier quickly learnt the way of manipulation - making dragons believe an idea of his is theirs or having them bend the knee is of no consequence to him, for both are easy. If he's not deep in one of his boughs studying, Vizier will often be sent out to other lands beyond where the shadows reach - acting as an ambassador for Shal'anir, and the queen's personal weapon.

TRAITS
Doesn't appear to have any ties to his family and, at a first glance, can't be recognised as Phalanx's brood. Speaks with a strange accent, with his 'a's sounding like 'e's, short 'i' sounds become a long 'e', consonant distances are more than one syllable, and he often rolls his 'r's.

- Spoiler, the accent he has is loosely based off Arabic. Why does he talk like that? Dunno

- His body begins to fall apart as he deals with the silver ichor more and more and in an attempt to heal himself it quickly becomes apparent he's going to die in the body he has
- Becomes a skydancer from a guardian in order to preserve himself but as he continues to struggle, he begins to use the silver ichor to sustain himself. When he was younger his work was 'sloppy', but now it's much better. Looks kinda pretty but it's still obvious he's not doing great
- Gets very funny if someone tries to pull his mane away from his face to reveal the horrific scarring
- Although he mostly focuses on his silver ichor research, Vizier regularly makes very potent poisons. Likes to drink them to test how strong they are - no one knows if he's actually building up a resistance or if the silver ichor in his body 'shields' him. Likes to slip the silver ichor into poisons if he feels they aren't quite enough to kill
