A grand title befitting of such a dragon, Eidolon stands as Vesper's most trusted when it comes to advice, no matter what that advice might be. Tactical advancements, liaison tasks, battle mechanics, or even just guidance on the state of their warriors are all things well within Eidolon's knowledge, and it's he who manages the forces of Shal'anir. He's a stoic individual, patient in approach but relentless nonetheless; he's the one who won't settle for second best, and strives for the security of their home and the survival of his family above all else. So proud and noble is this dragon that he has even taken to wearing the crest of Shal'anir upon his pauldrons so that others know exactly where the Imperial's allegiance lies. If Vesper is a motherly figure for those of Shal'anir, then Eidolon is their father. Despite years of hardship testing his mettle, chipping away at the edges, and battering down his perseverance, never has the Imperial strayed from his core beliefs. He's as steadfast as the best of them, and it's not unusual to see Eidolon late into the abyssal nights of the Tangled Wood with another warrior, mentoring them and offering a level of guidance often lost elsewhere. If a dragon is seen to be struggling, Eidolon is the exact type of dragon to bend over backwards for them to help them catch up - a trait owing to his love, patience, and innate patriarchal instincts. When one of his students succeeds, Eidolon can always be trusted to be seen smiling down at them with pride, even if that smile is felt rather than seen, and it brings him no greater joy than seeing one of his own bring honour to Shal'anir. Yet, it's not just his kindness that has earned Eidolon such a position. It must never be forgotten that he is a fearsome warrior, skilled in combat, and poised as a tightly coiled spring. He's like water when he moves, something that is difficult for his kind due to their large size, and is so good at what he does that he's even earned the respect of the Paragons - which is no easy feat and has only been achieved a handful of times in the entirety of the order running. When push comes to shove, Eidolon can be trusted to be immovable in his approach, and, although he strikes with mercy in every blow, it is he who will cut down those who pose a threat to his family's survival as easily as blades of grass in the wind. |
