B I O G R A P H Y

Nimue was born from the pairing of then-heir to the leadership of Amarayne Heulwen and leader of Niharike clan's stealth guild Zanviol. At the time, the two were merely interested in each other, but raising this family together made them very close. The oldest and the only female of the bunch, Nimue enjoyed special attention, especially from her mother. The reason for this became clear as she grew up, as it was soon revealed that Nimue was her mother's charge. For this reason Nimue stayed with her mother when her brothers went to live with their father.

It was clear that there was something strange about her, but it wasn't until a visit to Copernicus that her true purpose was revealed. She was a Heart, a dragon born from an ancient bloodline who had the ability to bear the bond of the clan inside her soul. The benefit of this was that she would be able to inspire all members of her clan from afar or uplift their spirits in their darkest hour. She could set them on edge, alerting them silently that danger was afoot, and some accounts say that this bond gave clans a special connection to the gods, making it more likely that they would intervene on the clan's behalf. The catch is that should the Heart be hurt, mistreated, or die violently, the entire clan would suffer with them. Nimue's death could spell the death of many of her clanmates. Her mother, as her guardian and Protector, was charged with keeping her safe. Though this was more than either thought they could handle at first, over the years they have learned how to keep the secret safe as they grow into their roles.

In her spare time, Nimue studies magic and meditates, hoping to master her emotions. As drama comes naturally to her, this is easier said than done, but she is fortunate to have Mo Xue as a friend, as the two keep each other grounded. During the siege, Nimue was escorted out, and despite her fear was able to keep her emotions from leaking out into the rest of the clan. Thanks to this, she feels ready to take on the next part of the challenge, pushing the emotions she wants to pass on to the clan.
