It was only a matter of time, everyone thought, until Chyst's "wandering" got him into trouble. When Lady Heulwen's daughter Nimue bore a clutch sired by him it very nearly did. The clan leader was displeased that the courier and her daughter had gone behind her back to do this, but Chyst was a devoted partner when hatchlings were involved and he served Nimue hand and foot during the incubation. He was just as devoted after Rigel and her brother hatched, knowing that when they grew up and learned to fly they would leave the clan to serve the Lightweaver. His children were as restless as their father and they never stayed. The dreaded day came, his son left, but Rigel stayed.

She was just as hungry for adventure as her siblings before her, but she was also in love with her home. It was good to know when the going was miserable that there was a warm bed somewhere waiting for you, so she chose to live in Amarayne and became a courier like her father before her.
