Dragon Log

A rambunctious hatchling, who is very much a Daddy's girl. She knows exactly how to get what she wants, and Moonshadow simply can not resist those big purple eyes. Her mother Sunfire, however, is another story, and this hatchlings is certainly not growing up spoiled...

She has grown into a stunning adult, who shares her family's love for the stars. She cannot, however, settle on what part of outer space excites her the most, except for the fact that she loves to study planets. But which one? They're all so fascinating in their own unique ways....

9-30-14: Her Strangler friend has Awakened! She is relieved, and hoping that he will now find a nice place in the grounds outside the lair to settle down. While theirs was a true friendship, it was built more on mutual respect than on deep affection, and though she is happy for him, she is also pleased that he will no longer need her help...

10-17-14: The Strangler has decided to go hunt--outside the clan's caves and hoard of course--and then find a nice area to take root. His dragon companion is not entirely sorry to see him go...particularly as a much more friendly Gale Wolf has taken an interest in her.

1-14-15: A long, enduring friendship has reached it's next stage, as the Gale Wolf has finally Awakened. Perhaps now she will finally choose her name... and in the meantime, she is no longer causing storms to blow up all over the cave system....

3-6-15: The Gale Wolf has found another companion for her Tundra friend! The Tundra is so happy to have someone to play with she has not even asked where the Heartred Croaker came from--which is probably a good thing.....

6-3-15: The Heartred Croaker has Awakened at last... and his Tundra friend is thrilled to have been a part of the process. It is unclear what the Croker will do next, however. Perhaps he will stick around for a while....

9-28-15: Bored with hanging around the lair, and perhaps tired as well of acting like a responsible adult, this young Tundra decided to join an expedition to the stars during the 2015 Starfall Celebration.

Journeying with the Arcanist (and her somewhat overprotective Uncle Cosmos) to see distant planets and strange, sentient plantlife, she enjoyed herself immensely--learning a great deal about herself along the way. Returning home, she has rediscovered the slightly rambunctious and intensely curious part of her nature that adulthood had almost obliterated.... and she has also found her name: Having seen her own home from space, there is no question in her mind which planetary body she wishes to name herself after. The rest of her family is a bit startled by the decision, but agree that it is her choice....

1-13-16: As one of the oldest familiar companions in the Clan, it is perhaps not that surprising that Sornietha's Strangler is getting tired. The plant has retreated into the Vault for a much deserved "retirement," and Sornietha is now on the lookout for a new companion to join her little "family"-- although she wouldn't mind a mate either, if one was in the offing....

7-1-18: It has come as no surprise to the Clan what Sornietha's next companion turned out to be. In fact, the only shock was that it took her so long to claim the Miniature Sornieth Globe in the first place. The whole Clan had expected the starstruck dragon to initiate a bond the instant the living globe appeared in the hoard a few months ago. Sornietha apparently had other ideas, however, and it was not until the excitement of odd new magics and several very strange Festivals had passed that she finally approached the living representation of her favorite astronomical body, and offered a bond. "Gaia" does not seem at all upset by the wait, and already the two are becoming fast friends...

10-5-18: Gaia has Awakened! Sornietha is pleased for her friend, while the living glove now seems to be developing even more interesting magical attributes. Though it is unclear why Gaia has displayed so many thunderstorms lately. Hopefully this is not indicative of something happening on the real Sornieth in the near future....

5-6-19: To the shock of everyone in the lair, Sornietha just bonded with another familiar: A Ghostly Rat Lord! No one in the lair, least of all Sornietha herself, has any idea why this spirit wanted to bond with one of the most playful and rambunctious dragons of the Clan, but he is stubbornly refusing to leave....

8-7-19: Despite how incompatible they seem, Sonrietha and her newest "friend" have continued to hang out together--or at least, the strange rat continues to tag along wherever the rambunctious Tundra goes--and now they have reached the next level in their bond at last: The Ghostly Rat Lord has Awakened! Sornietha is extremely relieved, as she had hopes that maybe now the rat will feel confident enough to spend some time away from her, and she will get a chance to play with her other companions again....

4-12-20: There seems to be a change sweeping through the Clan's familiars, one that is affecting both unbonded companions...and bonded ones. As some dragons are finding themselves suddenly being approached by previously aloof creatures, others are finding older "friends" returning to them after a long hiatus. It was not really a shock, therefore, when Sornietha's old Strangler friend suddenly reappeared in her section of the caves. She does wish that he would stop eyeing her other friends quite so hungrily, but at least he is not actively trying to eat anything--yet....

11-22-20: The Strangler continues to eye every creature that comes near him, but Sornietha now has an even pleasanter event than a returning familiar to occupy her: At long last, a female Tundra has been born in the Clan that could become her “missing sister.” Now all she has to do is convince the Earth Egg Festival Hatchling that it would be a great idea to have siblings….
