Biography

”Again and again, we go round, and never do we stop.”
He sighed weakly as his lover held his hand. He was loosing blood fast.
"Again?" The dark imperial asked, but he expected no answer.
"I-it's okay," He winced as the pain grew. This scene had gone on so many times, there was no end.
"Stay with me," Romain comforted as he always did. It was all he knew how to do, almost like an actor, repeating his lines for the hundredth time, ingrained in tongue.
"I t-t-told you," He struggled from breath, the wound was deep, "I'm f-fine."
"Mon Cher, save your strength.” He pulled the injured man closer to him, perhaps if he hugged him tight he’d stay.
"What- f-or?"
"We can make it different," He pressed down harder on the wound.
Ben looked at him, a silver tear trickling down his check, and nodded.
"Try.” His green eyes closed, their spark gone, and his grey head rested against Romain's chest. He took a final gasping breath.
"Next time, mon amour.” Out of habit he grabbed his gun. Darkness once more.
Light filled his vision. The sun was just rising, bathing the room gold, and a pale figure slept beside him. Romain kissed his forehead and got up. Maybe it was a dream. A dream that never was.
Ben raised his head with a start, panic flashing in them, before the realization settled. He turned quickly to his dear.
"It'll be your turn, I could bring-“
"No," His tone was something that could be described as something between exhausted and loving, "Let's just live in the moment, please?”
"It's just going to end, it always ends, we could at least try and-" Ben looked up, and saw his lover’s eyes, those beautiful eyes that always sparked with mischief, now dulled, “Of course dear. Of course, whatever you need.”

Romain who had started to cough again.
"Do you need water or-?" He shook his head but Ben grabbed a glass anyway and eased him into bed.
"I'll get a doctor, okay love?"
"I'm tired of this, just kill me now," He looked pleadingly at Ben, to which he responded with a sigh.
Pain and death dictated their lives. But they had each other at least.
"You're going to get through this, I promise, I'll make it different," He took his paw.
"No, I'm not,"
"We've caught it early on, we can-"
"Ben, give me the gun,"
The fae reached for it at the same time Romain did.
"Let go, mon amour, this isn't a fight we can win,"
"So?" Ben clutched the metal harder, "We can try,"
"This is obviously something greater than us, some devil or god, just give up, go away," Bittersweet, yet angry. The kind that is hot and red and raw. The kind filled with love and sorrow.
Ben looked at him, "No," He wrenched the gun out of Romain's paws.
“Why give up? If there truly is a demon pulling the strings why give them that satisfaction?” He dropped the gun. “Now, are you coming to the doctor with me?”
“I don’t want to do this again,” Romain looked down, but it was clear his eyes were filled with tears.
“You won’t have to, just come with me,”
The imperial just looked at him. A look of conflict, of grief, of love.
“I can’t do this alone,”
“You won’t have to,” He took his paw, “Let’s go,”
“Thank you,”

I need to fix that writing man
So Ben is obviously just a sweet, awkward guy and he and his lover die and wake in again and again and again
