> A child of Yama, who believed mortals had gotten too comfortable and needed illness and chaos to humble them.

> He is most often prayed to by the masses during widespread plagues and crop devastations. It is widely believed that mass prayer to Mauldir will prevent disaster, and, as a lawful deity he (usually) complies. However, if a separate group of mortals offer some sort of sacrifice or gift, rather than prayer alone, he will choose to spare them over the others.

> Although there are various depictions of him, the most common are that of a frail old man with blistering boils, and a hooded doctor with a large vulture perched on his shoulder. Neither are true. In reality, Mauldir most often appears to mortals as a charming, handsome young man who tempts them into his grasp, thus "welcoming" sickness and making those mortals the catalysts for disease.

> As a malevolent God, he enjoys watching humans panic and gets a sense of satisfaction when his diseases successfully spread and effect large populations. It is not unusual for the God to test new illnesses on small villages, often wiping them out in the process (much to the other Gods discretion.) He is rarely more gleeful than when his creations work successfully and cause mass devastation.

> Although the other gods occasionally voice worry and displeasure with the plague God, they know that he is essential to regulating life on Earth and therefore do not interfere with his work.

> A loner for the most part. He does, however, have a surprisingly good relationship with Azuolas and has even been known to share a bed with the Lust God on occasion.
