Fisherwyrm

Named for her father's signature exclamation, "Gods be good!" from whom Godsby learned to read the currents of the wind and the river, serving her well in her role as fisherwyrm upon the wide and winding Faín. Her superstitions are an heirloom from her plague-borne mother: the old wisdom of the wasteland, of crow's entrails and knucklebones. She knows the river and its moods by heart, steering her flat little barge through the shallows with nets in tow. The ridgeback has a peculiar knack for dredging up strange treasures from the depths. The locket she wears is one such trinket, and she is loathe to part with it, claiming it to have saved her life once whilst navigating a narrow gorge: Godsby noticed its golden glint in the shallows and moved her barge to inspect it. With a sudden crack, a piece of the cliff gave way and smashed into the waters where her boat had sat mere moments before. Ever since, she has believed the amulet to be lucky, and never sets out from shore without it.
