Biography
Dragonhome General Goods
A widowed merchant from a small but distinguished clan in the Shattered Plains, the shrewd Alcalyx imports general goods from her homeland to trade with the Valari. Everything from pottery to fishing nets can be found at the dockside gallery that she manages with her son Quorax.
When she is not minding the shop, the old girl is a consummate gossip. Little transpires in Val-ar-Aion that Alcalyx will not have heard of first. The old historian Aldiel has approvingly noted that the dragoness has the memory and acumen of a Lightkeeper when it comes to the trappings of society. Alcalyx's typical response would be to sniff and say that, while the Light clans may not have as much history or culture as those of Earth (Aldiel raises a brow), it is nevertheless crucial to know one's neighbors.

Dragonhome General Goods
The brazen and grandiloquent son of the merchant Alcalyx. Garbed head to foot in luxuriant silks and glittering gems, with a bellowing laugh that echoes from the quays all the way to the Gyldenmotte, Quorax is a figure larger than life. His talent for spinning yarns and gossip he owes to his mother, whom he regards with great, if oft-tried, affection. As a shopkeeper, he is like a fish to water: even the most devoted cheapskate would find it hard not to get swept along by his joie de vivre. Perhaps the greatest testament to his powers of persuasion lie in his assistant, Gadfly- the only beastfolk to set foot in the city in a thousand years, based entirely on the good word of his draconic- but thankfully not draconian- benefactor. The two can often be seen peddling (or, Gadfly's case, hawking) their wares by the ghats, the talonok scampering between the towering dragon's spines like an acrobat on trapeze. How the two became friends is anyone's guess, yet they seem to benefit mutually from the arrangement.
-used to be painfully shy; then took a level in speechcraft
-doesn't know his own strength- has accidentally flung smaller breeds into the river with his over-enthusiastic gesturing
-tests the quality of jewels by... slamming them against his forehead. that's- not how that works, quorax...
-idk what the deal is with the talonok tbh hes kinda just there
-shaking his lil birdy head at this idiot dragon's antics
-ANYWAYS
