Magic Research Data Seht, under the tutelage of High Mage Dyesolshyed, has begun research into the possibilities of fusing two elemental magics together, namely, Shadow and Plague. After his master's success with combining Arcane and Ice magic, Seht intends to further their knowledge of this mostly unexplored subject. The elements of Shadow and Plague tend to have unsavory underpinnings, but Seht knows that to ascribe the concept of good and bad to magic is as foolish as ascribing it to the weather, or tectonic activity, or any natural force in the world. Magic, like any of these things, is simply a natural phenomenon, to be approached with the discipline to not allow prejudices to affect one's observations. At present, Seht has thrown himself into researching each element individually, and he pays regular visits to the vast archives of the Arcanist himself. Once this avenue is exhausted, he plans to pack his belongings and travel to the two respective flights. Books won't be enough; he needs the context that only immersion can give him. Finally, when he feels satisfied with his gathering of notes and information, only then will he return to the Sanctuary to share his research with Dyesolshyed, and begin the lengthy process of peer review. |
