Born the only daughter of an affluent family, Fei was adored by her parents and given everything she could possibly ask for. As is sometimes the nature of young, rich children, she wasn't satisfied with the life that was handed to her; as an act of rebellion, she found herself roaming the streets outside of her wealthy household, committing minor crimes and learning just a little more about the world than she had been taught. She learned the value of secrets, kept them from her family.

She learned secrets of her own. She learned that her family name was connected to vast injustice in the world, cheating others out of wealth and necessity just to increase their own. It shook her to know that she didn't deserve what she had, and it disturbed her even more to know that her own comfort had been at the cost of others. When she met Flamewrath and his companions, Fei knew what she had to do: she used her position of comfort to try to better the world.

She didn't directly join at first. She started by trying to quietly lessen the damage her family was doing to others' lives, but she was quickly found out. Her family had no choice but to disown her, but by then Fei was prepared. She went to live with the Revolutionaries, and elected to use the skills she had learned in her privileged position to further their goals. As their ambassador, she negotiates with allies and enemies of the Revolutionaries alike. The rebellious attitude of her past is long gone, replaced with an intelligent, cunning negotiator.
