Life in a strange combination pack of Mirrors and Snappers wasn't exactly a bad one, but it was a fairly grounded one. The Snappers could never fly, of course, and her own brethren rarely saw any need to take flight. It was hard, and their heavy, gleaming wing membranes were better suited to attract other Mirrors than flight. Besides, they may be sturdy, like the metal they resembled but also healed poorly. Or if one was unlucky, not at all. Though that didn't really matter. Cover the holes with pleasing decorations and no one would be the wiser.

That's what the pack always said, anyway. She wasn't happy that way though. Earth was all over, massive peaks that stabbed into the sky like a challenge just a natural part of the landscape. Why couldn't she fly and see all of the land the Earthshaker brought, or appreciate the mountains that arose like teeth in a mighty jaw?

Her siblings didn't see the appeal, but bid her a fond farewell as she strode from the pack's winding trails to go somewhere new. She didn't have much to offer at first, but knew plenty of stories from the Snappers. If you sped them up a bit and added in some flashy moves, Snakeoil found you could have quite the entertaining show on your claws.

Years of practice has helped Snake keep her show on the road, usually not staying long before trotting off again. Perhaps someday she'll find a way to get her wings properly healed and be able to fly up those mountains she can't climb. At least, that's what she says she's saving up for.
"It's the World-Wide Snakeoil show kid! 100t a ticket, and you won't regret it!"
