Biography

dzXLNDq.png
From the notes of Aigle, from when she first noticed his presence:

Well, looks like there we have *yet* another newcomer from the different dimension... This guy, most likely came from alternative modern-times Earth but that's not the most interesting part of that... He's most likely a treasure hunter and came there accidentally through a portal while looking for something else (aka lots of g o l d) somewhere in the ancient ruins... Looks like someone who's got talent for getting into troubles.

~~~
Charbon has returned with new exotic cargo he bought and traded on the big market located in The Colonnades of Antiquity. Everydragon who was around, was looking excitedly what's going to be the next thing the Skydancer will show.
Everydragon except one.
There, rather aloof from the gathering, was a mysterious Pearlcatcher male. He was reclutantly looking at the new things Charbon was showing. He didn't seem to be interested at all and yet, he was still there. He was clearly waiting for something.
After a long half of an hour of showing all these exotic goods, the gathering scattered, all dragons returning to what they were doing before. The mysterious Pearlcatcher came to Charbon.
"You came here for the map, am I right?" The Skydancer sighed and took the map out from the underside of his tailcoat "There you go. Be careful, it's from the Second Age times!"
The mysterious dragon carefully unwrapped the map on the suitcase.
"Look there" Pearlcatcher pointed at the drawing of the statue and Charbon curiously leaned into the map
"Looks like regular statue, what's interesting about it?"
The Pearlcatcher didn't answer, he took out and unwrapped yet another map, this time it was a map of modern Sornieth. He nailed his eyes on a circle-shaped ruin in the middle of The Hewn City.
"Ah, there it is!" He took notes in his small notebook "Oh, sorry for leaving your question unanswered... so, basically this statue is a clue on how to find some ancient underground ruins that may contain treasures worth thousands of gems! Nah, what I'm talking about... hundreds of thousands gems! Y'know, ancient golden coins, plates and, what is most important, most likely also the legendary Ruby Goblet."
"Oh my gods, you can't be serious... THAT legendary Ruby Goblet?!"
"Shhhh, keep your voice down, Hex has his spies literally everywhere... We rather wouldn't see him getting the Goblet before us..."
Charbon had no idea who on Sornieth is Hex, but the mysterious dragon seemed to be very serious about that.
"Okay, take the map and meet me at my airship at sunset." Charbon said as quiet as he could.
At sunset, the mysterious Pearlcatcher came to the T.W.P.A. 'Ventoux', but he haven't notice the presence of the Skydancer. He was about to leave when he heard subdued "No no no wait, I'm here I'm here, I'm coming, give me a second!" from behind. After a while, through the trapdoor in the floor there came out the greyscale Skydancer, panting heavily.
"Ah, sorry for that... My usual airship maintenance took me a bit longer than I thought... Maybe we should introduce ourselves to each other, eh? That's a bit weird we're planning something as big as looking for a legendary item and we don't even know each other." He offered his paw. "My name is Charbon and I'm the captain of this airship. How about you?"
The Pearlcatcher shook paws with the Skydancer.
"Drake. Nathan Drake. But you can call me Nate."
"Okay so... Would you like some tea, Nate? This seems it's going to be a longer meeting."
"Sure."
Charbon went to make some tea, in the meantime Nathan unwrapped the two maps on a huge table. He was looking at the old map very closely and carefully, as if he wanted to find a hidden clue. Made some notes in his notebook and marked the likely location of the statue on the modern map. After a few minutes, Charbon came back with two cups of tea.
"Did you find something new?" He said, putting the cups on the table
Nathan was too absorbed with figuring out the mystery to notice Charbon brought the cups and accidentally knocked one of them over. The tea spilled onto the old map.
"Oh my gods!" Charbon screeched in panic.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I haven't noticed..." Nathan stopped, as he saw that the wet map started to show off a secret message. "Oh and what's this?"
"Looks like something written in an ancient, but non-draconic language" Charbon took a closer look at the blurred letters "Not an expert on Second Age ancient languages, as this is surely one, but I'm pretty sure this says: Find me under a golden heart"
"So we need to go to the Hewn City, there we will know what does this mean... I guess..."
~~~

The road to The Hewn City went without any complications. At the edge of this weird, darkened land, Nathan started to nervously look around. This place was strangely quiet, if not counting distant thud of Luminax's paws.

"I don't like this place..."

"Yeah, yeah, me neither, as anydragon does, but we need to go forth, Nate."

But Nathan didn't listen. His senses were focused on looking for potential danger. He caught a glimpse of two pairs of yellow glowing eyes.

"We've been watched! The Hex's spies are..."

He didn't even manage to say "here" and they were ringed by three black Mirror dragons, hissing at them and ready to attack at them. Charbon instinctively reached for his bow. Nathan took the old sword he found while they were passing through the Shadow's territory. The Mirror behind them attacked first. It was a failed surprise attack. Shortly after, the attacker was shot by Charbon's arrow and... turned into a black smoke. One of the two Mirrors that left, took a chance when saw that Charbon and Nathan were looking surprised at the slowly disappearing cloud of black smoke and scratched the Skydancer's wing. Then the two Mirrors ran away.

"They're not dragons, Nate... They're Shade look-alikes! Gods, if that Hex can control the Shade magic... He could destroy the flight territories or even the entire Sornieth if he'd get the Ruby Goblet!"

(To be continued... or re-written entirely bc I think I made an entirely new character out of him that shares only the name lol)

Sidenote to the story: Here's how I imagine the look of the main antagonist of the story, Hex.

Sidenote to the story #2: It is quite likely that Hex *may be* the same black Mirror with who Samedi was fighting. Or at least he *may be* their relative. Or one of his spies.

*Here's going to be a longer lore story but basically the story is about how Charbon finds a treasure map about some ruins (maybe somewhere in the Shadow territory or in The Hewn City) and he and Charbon go find the treasure, generally something with pretty similar vibes to the source material he comes from but happening in Sornieth and maybe way less fights than the unbelieveably wild amount of them in the original source. Plus, maybe something about confusion with using usual bow? (Note that sword shouldn't be a problem, as the movie has shown, crossbow shouldn't be a problem as well, see part 2 of the series but I have no idea how he'd handle traditional bow)*

Ah well what I can say... curse you lack of lairspace once again >_>

Probably will create the traditional fandragon info list later but for now, in short: This is a fandragon of Nathan Drake, from the Uncharted games series. He's the main character of the games 1-4 of the series plus the 2022 movie based on the series. He's basically modern times Indiana Jones but unlike the latter he's not an archaeologist (from what I know), just a treasure hunter and thief. He's convinced he's a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, a famous English sailor.
Based mostly on the games version of him.

Why a Pearlcatcher which is a breed stereotypically asssociated with avoiding troubles and cowardice since character is rather known of being the complete opposite? Well, two reasons, one of them is the skin, the other is the pearl that could represent treasures he's looking for.

Creating this fandragon was a part of The 6th FRversary celebrations (that actually means that it just coincided with the anniversary)
