A tiny, brightly colored heap of cloth and feathers. Must be alive since it moves around. Solomundee swears he's seen eyes glint in its depths. Johnny's heard squeaks.

Bigger dragons are pretty sure it's an intrepid dust bunny. Faes are of the opinion there's probably a dragon in there... somewhere... or a big frog? Or a self-propelled mop?

Makes Doodlebug (and Amateria) very happy. Poe is pretty sure this isn't his fault, though it might be his stock. The swamprats insist it never went into or out of their cauldron. Magrat and Kamaji don’t think it came back from the Spire with them, though Mags does pack a lot of scraps into Maji's mane she never finds until weeks later... and Thing says the sparks it gives off if anyone tries to touch it are static, not evidence of origin.

Pillow-176-4-34-35-41-177-161-73.png Remy left a pillow on the floor too close to its path and the poor pillow got swallowed before he could save it.

Even though he's seen glimpses of the same pattern here and there sometimes inside the mass he's never managed to dig his pillow out.
