Theme

"Hello, friend," Nettle rumbled, relieved to see that the stranger didn't flinch away this time. "I hope you rested well."

"So I did," the fragile Behemoth replied. "I feel at ease sleeping here. There was no torment of the dark, and no nightmares. Centuries have passed since I had such undisturbed rest."

History

Ixora appeared in the Greenhouse many, many decades after Nettle did. It was Nettle who found them, fast asleep in a clearing deep within the Greenhouse. They seemed terrified of the larger Behemoth as they woke to the sound of Nettle's approach, frantically attempting to flee from the other's presence-- to no avail.

Nettle found this curious newcomer to look so fragile; almost sickly in appearance, for their features were sunken, and gaunt, and they appeared so frail and vulnerable that it instilled the large Behemoth with the incessant urge to look after them. And after cautiously attempting-- and, after a while, succeeding-- to converse with them, Nettle learned that this stranger was not in any sort of distress; though they were ever so exhausted, and simply sought for a safe place to rest.

Ixora has since become Nettle's confidant and spends most of their waking hours in the larger Behemoth's company; though they do not yet feel comfortable interacting with any of the temple's residents.

Favorite treasures

Heart Rose
Small, sweet-smelling roses have started to bloom wherever Ixora rests. Nettle seems quite partial to them.
Sage Shell
Ixora seems fond of the many types of mushrooms that grow within the Greenhouse. Their keen sense of smell allows them to locate types that are safe to eat.
Moth Keeper's Lantern
Despite not benefiting from the lantern's comforting light, Ixora seems appeased by the warmth it radiates.
