Back when the game first came out, Imperials were a hot commodity. They cost an arm and a leg and money was hard to come by while the economy stabilized somewhat. Everyone was buying genes for their progens and trying to get their foothold, and I just couldn't find a way to get enough treasure to afford these gorgeous dragons. I liked looking at them all the auction house, though.

My friend, Romiress, was in Ice. Let me tell you, back in the day before dominance turned into what we have now, Ice was a powerhouse. They won dominance several times in a row and it was the richest flight in the game. My friend was not an exception. She was (probably still is) an auction house savant, making all her money flipping dragons and items. She had a bunch of really nice dragons . . .

On my birthday, she bought me this Imperial! I think she felt a little sorry for me, honestly, but I didn't care. I had my very first Imperial dragon! I loved her so much, and I still love her. I'm never getting rid of her, ever!

Tiger and Shimmer was THE gene combination everyone liked back then. I still like it. I'm not changing it.

I even named her after my friend - Ress. In her honor. She's been bred a bunch, but I don't mind. That doesn't bother me, and neither does the unnamed babies lost forever in time. She's my gorgeous Imperial baby and I'm not planning on ever selling her. She's not a gen one, either, so who cares what her offspring list looks like!

Her accent is pretty permanent, too. I don't think I've taken it off once since I put it on her. She does need a Peacock tertiary gene, though.
