Dragon Log

An older dragon who was a bit lonely, she heard that there was a Coatl looking for a mate, and journeyed from another Arcane lair to check him out. Liking what she saw, and finding his clan "adequate," she decided to stay. After learning of the naming convention of her new home, she immediately settled upon her new name...and pointedly informed her mate that she would NOT have hatchlings with someone who could not be bothered to give them a father's name they could speak with pride. (Funny enough, her mate settled on a name for himself within the hour.)

9-14-14: After a long, patient wait, her Winter Wolf companion, Moony, has finally awakened! This is a tremendous relief, as she did not want to have hatchlings while she had a familiar who might have thought of them as a nice snack....

9-19-14: Prongs and Moony are searching for Padfoot, but having little luck. Meanwhile, Lapislazuli found a Dark-Tufted Sparrownouse at the back of the lair...

12-16-14: The Dark-Tufted Sparrowmouse has Awakened! Lapis is quite pleased for her friend, and eager to see what he does as a full adult member of the Clan. Perhaps now he will be able to dodge Moony's claws a bit more easily....

In the meantime, Lapislazuli has joined a project started by the younger Coatls, much to the dismay of Quartz. She cannot understand why he is so distressed. After all, he can join too, and then they will get to share so many hatchlings with all their brothers and sisters....

2-15-15: Lapislazuli's persuasion was sufficient for her original mate, and fate and their own desires have given them a wonderful gift as the Hatchery Round comes to a close....

2-19-15: 3 more Eggs now sit in the nesting area, and Lapislazuli is thrilled at the prospects...

3-10-15: While two of Lapislazuli's children try to decide what they wish to do with themselves, the third, Onyx, has merged so well with Clan life that it is doubtful he will ever leave. In fact, he has taken a place in the Hatchery as a potential mate for the other Coatls--and a very relieved Lapis has gladly stepped out of the same role. It seems that sharing was not, after all, her cup of tea.... now if only she can convince Quartz to leave as well....

2-10-18: To the shock of almost all the Clan, Lapislazuli has, after years of contentment, abruptly bonded with a new familiar! Perhaps she was inspired by her mate's bonding with his Quartz Cockatrice? Perhaps. Or perhaps she simply felt sorry for the lonely blue bird. Whatever the reason, both Lapislazuli and the Zalis are very happy with the arrangement...

5-11-18: The newest bonding has finally reached its last step, and the Zalis has Awakened! Lapis is thrilled for her friend, while the bird's pleasant chirps are currently entertaining the rest of the Clan--for the moment. If he doesn't stop soon though, enjoyment could turn to annoyance rather quickly....

6-7-19: Lately a tide of magical energy has been sweeping the Clan, causing quite a few magic auras to appear in the visible spectrum, on both dragons who were expecting it, and those who were not. Lapislazuli was trying to channel her magic through her new "special jewel" on her Ghost Flame Collar, when a Fathomsearch Halo suddenly appeared around her head. This was quite a surprise, as she had given up hope of seeing such a thing, but it seems that the recent addition of several Focus Stones to her outfit, including a Ghost Flame Tail Jewel and a Teardrop Lapis Lazuli Bracelet, have caused an upsurge in Lapis' magic, and consequently, the Water Halo has made an appearance at last...
