She’s much too tough for physical scars, but everyone can see— in the way she carries herself, favoring her left— that something’s broken about her. Fractured like the Shattered Plains, where yes, it’s only surface, but it’s so extensive that one can’t help but trip over the cracks. It’s ridiculous (and rude) to look only at the fault lines and not at the land on either side, though, so it suffices to say that she hurts on humid days, yes, but here in the dry lands she’s safe.
