Scaleless, shivering, and covered with mucus, this hatchling was rejected early from the nest. Born without eyes, he noses much like an earthworm to navigate its surroundings, using his overgrown talons to grasp at objects. Brought to Camelcase after a series of unfortunate events, he was presented to the reigning monarch FellStinger, who immediately recognised the child's signature to distinctively similar to one of sweater mum's own.
With great reluctance to provide for another, Fell took him in, not knowing how he had invited the main core of sweater mum's information and magic to their midst. The boy, aptly renamed his original name of ToxicSpikes soon grew into his craft as a spymaster, acting like a fly on the wall for various gatherings by pretending (almost too easily) to be a down-on-his-luck diplomat just happy to be paid attention to. His almost mad rambling hide sharp jabs at those he sought information from, and most were happy to indulge his whims, simply dismissing him with sympathies and perhaps concern that this was the best Camelcase could provide.
They were very, very wrong when Toxic easily pulled the rug beneath them, his disfigured appearance hiding a sharp mind and indomitable wit. Even when they found out, it was too late for them to give chase: master of escape, he would have by then bade the hosts farewell and taken the train back home. Despite his enjoyment of high society at the expense of the rest of high society, Toxic still persists in a diet of the most rancid bugs and dirt, claiming this kept him humble. He rarely consumes other delicacies like the others, preferring instead to keep a ear close to the ground in case there was a need for him.
