Raised singularly by her mother Xochiquetzal, Nettle views her father Mictlantecuhtli with disdain, having only known him as a mindless dog in her childhood. She received partial training when her underlying magical abilities came to the surface before ultimately being cast out into the Scarred Wasteland as a hatchling like her other siblings had before her when Nettle failed to quite live up to her mother's expectations.

Due to this, Nettle wishes to be enough for her mother beneath her cravings for power & wealth, & as such maintains indifference towards her older siblings & outright scorn/jealousy towards her younger siblings who received attention from both parents. It's something Nettle keeps deeply bottled up to the point even her own mate Sorrow is unaware, although Sorrow isn't ignorant of the deep seated emotions that stir within Nettle.

Nettle's cruelty is well noted, as is her ability to inflict festering sores on others akin to the bite of the stinging nettle with the ooze that fills her gembond affliction. This usually leads to the dragons fallen out of favor with her to have unpleasant experiences, left bedridden after consuming food laced with traces of her toxins. Nettle never admits to the deed, but if mentioned in a conversation with her only causes a strange glint to form in her eyes, with the barest hint of pink. There is talk of Arcane influence, but it remains unconfirmed to everybody but her.

Her attitude is grating and pretentious with a flair for the dramatic most of the time, which tends to irritate more stoic & solemn dragons. Nettle is almost always accompanied by an entourage of her closest associates, most of all Sorrow, whom she has taken on as the newest cofounder of the Cruor Convocation & her mate. She has recently taken an interest in the sickly dragon Tueri, taking her under her wing as a mentor figure and teacher to harness her potential powers. Nettle will demonstrate favoritism towards those related to her or Sorrow, but will just as quickly cast them aside should they prove useless to her.
