Cinthia
"With how much I have been through, I cannot believe I haven't left yet."
Jasmine Stone Fertility Statue Patio Rose
Cinthia is the sweet, firstborn child of Dusk and Shade. It was as if she was destined to become a botanist in the future by simply her own name, and she gained an interest in flowers at a young age. Whenever the pressure of being the heir to clan leadership weighs down on her, she retreats to her own garden that she planted in a hidden location few know about - her mother, father, and the warrior named Fjord. The spiral was the only one who has ever managed to capture her heart, and soon, they became lovers.

When she had children, everyone was proud of her. Even the normally passive Grayling was happy for her. For a day, they were a happy family, and Cinthia deeply cared for her children. When her son, Vitas, came down with a terrible illness, Shade and Dusk believed that there was only one thing the clan could do to keep it from spreading. With a heavy heart, they killed him and buried him far, far away from the clan.

Both Fjord and Cinthia were devastated. The former becoming decreasingly less active and outgoing like his former self, and the latter almost never showing her face to the clan. The only people she ever saw since Vitas's selling were Fjord and her daughter, Baptisia. She guarded them deeply, not affording to lose anyone else.

Unfortunately, her worst fears soon became true. Weeks later, the now fully-grown Baptisia had come down with the same illness that had affected her brother. Like with Vitas, Shade and Dusk killed her in secret, not telling a single soul. The quiet botanist went into a much greater state of mourning, and there was little sightings of her during this time. Not even Fjord could find her.

Eventually, the spiral warrior found her, secluded in a small corner of the Tangled Wood. After much persuasion, they decided to have another chance at parenthood to make up for the mishap that was Vitas and Baptisia's hatching. They returned to the clan with three lovely eggs, and hopefully, everything would return to normal now...

Soon, the eggs hatched, with two spirals and a fae emerging from the three eggs. Fittingly, Cinthia gave them flower-related names. The three sons were called Campanula, Nightshade, and Aster. She did everything she could to protect them from the world outside of the clan. Although other members of the clan grew concerned, Cinthia remained unfazed by their comments, and kept vigilantly protecting them.

As soon as they entered adolescence, the whole clan was anxious on what could happen to them after the disaster of Cinthia's first clutch. She still protected them, hoping nothing would happen to her three sons. None of them could be heirs to become the next clan leader, but nevertheless, they were still the thistle-colored fae's children.

One night, Cinthia had a nightmare. Her children would be gone forever to serve the Shadowbinder. Normally, this would be a high honor, but this only stirred anger within her. She just wanted to live with her children peacefully; she didn't want a international war getting in the way of that. When she woke up, only Nightshade was curled around her, with her two sons gone. Asking what happened, the deep purple spiral explained that they were summoned by the Shadowbinder.

Grief overtook her. Cinthia would never see Campanula and Aster again, if that was the case. Her remaining son tried his best to comfort her, saying that she should be happy for him. But it was hard for her to be happy when her children had left her once again. When asked why he was not summoned, Nightshade was unsure why, and continued his life as normal.

With one son by her side, this fae will be happy... for now. Only the Shadowbinder knows what will happen, and the future can be unpredictable at times. But now, she must live with the changes that had taken place in her life.
