Shade
"What do we have here? You better go before you get yourself in trouble."

The leader of the clan, Shade is a natural trickster, but very loving of her subjects. Often will she play a trick or two on her subjects, but in reality, she means no harm. Shade can be very competitive, even going far as cheating to win. But in the end, she will accept defeat, when she is defeated, and throwing in a "good game" or two. However, she is often not present at the clan, instead preferring to take to the dark skies of the Tangled Wood. Her second-in-command and mate, Dusk, usually takes control of the clan when she is away.

Shade thinks for a moment, and then says, "Whenever I am around, I do try my best to talk to them and get to know them better. I do care about them, but I haven't been talking to them as much as I should." The crests on her head droops as she adds, "I think my mate knows them better than I do, unfortunately."

Though Shade does not appear to be outwardly laughing, the fast movements of her crests indicate that she is. "It was an interesting one, let me tell you that. Her crests stopped moving, though one side was still lowered, as if she were pondering something. "In hindsight, the veilspun were a lot friendlier than we thought. ...It was still fun, though."
