Skadi

Skadi--in whose veins flows the blood of both, the lightning Spiral Ryul and the wind born Efren--is a masterful explorer and huntress. Her parents were astounded when they noticed, that this one's egg had always been covered with a very thick layer of ice. So, it comes as no surprise that Skadi hatched on one of the coldest days of winter. Some clan members are convinced, Skadi is in actual fact a daughter of Snow and Ice, rather than a living dragons' offspring.

At a very young age she was brought over to Clan Àidhear. But, Skadi has always felt rather lost in the territory of the Windswept Plateau, dreaming about Cloudscrape Crags. That desolate string of mountains in the massive, frosted expanse of the Southern Icefield was the place, she felt closely connected to and ever since reaching adulthood, Skadi wanted to return there once more.

One day she simply disappeared. No dragon knew about her whereabouts. Only much later when she returned home everyone learned about her adventures. Skadi had live as a hermit, enjoying the solitude of the mountains—the open sky, the thrill of flashing by snow-covered mountainsides, and of the hunt and the kill. She had roved the mountains and tundra endlessly, hunting and indulging her wanderlust.

Even today, she mostly just wants to be left alone, although some dragons bring back tales of her sharing a camp with lone travelers, guiding them through the icy mountainscape; and from time to time, Skadi comes to visit her family and friends back home at Clan Àidhear.
