Biography
Wolf
Familiar Tamer • Beastclan Correspondent ~ Restrained • Mute • Sarcastic • Seasoned
» Explanation » A little journal tied to Wolf's satchel with a mith silk string and a greatowl feather quill. It keeps all of Wolf’s notes and thoughts as he works with beastclans and animals and other dragons. Paper and quill is also a good way to communicate what may be hard to say without words. |
»About. After the loss of his voice, Wolf has become a little more in tune with the world, becoming more thoughtful and attentive to his senses—taking in the world in every breath, glance, touch, and sound. Wolf likes to feel his environment and keeping his hands clean with cloth or thin gloves. »Origin. Massa sapien faucibus et molestie ac feugiat. Nibh praesent tristique magna sit. Notes:
Please lmk if there's something I'm doing incorrectly to represent a mute character! I'm interested in having a character that communicates with something other than just through speech, but if there's something I could be doing better I would be happy to learn!
-wounded at young age by something (face and neck)
-Fur cut short
-While Wasabi is a Zoologist, Wolf is more of an Anthropologist. He studies Beastclan and dossiers are a fun ol' time.
It's important for us dragons to make sure that throughout all this fighting, we make sure we aren't putting the environment at risk. Killing off species that is, and including beastclan.

So Wolf, you are best friends with Wasabi. How did you two meet? What is your favorite activity to do together?
Wolf nodded then strummed his fingers through the tuft on his chin. He breathed a heavy sigh and used his fingers to spell out a short command that clearly meant "follow" and turned to lead you toward his shoddy bedroom. Stopping in front of a shabby nightstand, he opened a drawer and retrieved a small slip of paper. A polaroid photograph. He handed it over with a kind smile. It was something he treasured. It was obviously an old photo. The edges were soft and corners crimped. Anywhere there wasn't a bend in the plastic there was a tan water splotch botching the chemicals of the photo. Depicted was was a fluffy dark, young looking tundra with a ratty bandage tied over its face and eyes. Still, it smiled bearing its teeth like a very young child. Beside the young dragon was an equally as youthful wildclaw with disproportionate glasses. The gawky looking wildclaw had its neck wrapped around the shoulder of the tundra. Wolf passed over another photograph, newer this time. In the picture, a leggy wildclaw with leafy apparel and a dumb toothy grin stared the camera down while a summer coat'd tundra lay sprawled over the other's back like a Wolf coat. Wolf spelled out with his hands "I've only known him a little while. I consider him an acquaintance." |

Wolf, how is it that you observe Beastclans and other animals? Do you ever get hurt?
Wolf nodded thoughtfully, making the thick scales on his brow shift like a snake's. He motioned to the linen wrapped around his throat and back toward the plot of fenced in land behind him which was presumably his own private section of the settlement. Then motioned back to himself and tapped his nose. Wolf presumed that his quiet demeanor and muteness allowed him the propensity to deal with Beastclan, or those willing to meet dragons that don't bite on sight at least. Nevertheless, Wolf is smart enough not to rely on first encounters to make him seem approachable, and has always done his homework in preparation. And while contradictory, Wolf also believes he has a way with animals and people, be it Beastclans, Dragons or other creatures. |

Wolf, you work with animals, specifically beastclans...would you say you have a way with the beasts? One with nature? Or does it present other challenges?
Wolf nodded with a little shrug as if to say "more or less." He motioned to the scars that decorated his limbs, and the tiny ones across his nose, then picked his handbook from his pouch giving it a little shake. It was a well used book to be sure, puffed up from accidents with water or other liquids, and often referred to with its dog-eared pages and nearly empty pen attached with mith silk and a greatowl feather. One can never stop learning in this age, and certainly should never assume they've learnt all they can, especially when working with complicated created like the Beastclans. They're like us in that way. |

Wolf, what does it takes to train a familiar? What equipment do you use for that? What are the requirements for the familiar to be considered "well-trained"? Have there perhaps, occurred any incidents while you've been training them?
Wolf raised his hands and signed the word "Patience." He motioned to his scars on his hands, legs, and face. "Sometimes forgiveness, if you're able." he signed. Wolf didn't seem to have a lot of equipment lying around aside from worked metal and bits and bobs that could be worked into collars, tags, harnesses, leads and the like. He paused and considered the next question for a moment, running his hands through his summer mane. "A well-trained familiar will listen to simple commands like their name, and to follow and halt. It may also depend on what they're used for. Purely companion familiars will usually have lowered standards for what they're expected to do, compared to a pack familiar that tows carts or wagons." |
"All I wanna say is, school's not important. Be who you wanna be, you wanna be a dog, ROOF, y'know?"
