Lucrezia swears her ideas for the experiments were harmless. She just wanted to see what those old spells could do, alright? Nothing too serious, no intent to commit crimes against life itself. As an alchemist she knew the limits to what she could do with necromancy and all she did was push them a little bit. So what if she created a bunch of horrible clay homunculi from parts and pieces of her clan mates? Okay, maybe raising them as her own children was a little too far, she'd admit that.
After Lucrezia's accidental necromancy experiments created new, confused, sapient life, her clan kicked her out. After Eris caught wind of her exile and creations, she invited the spiral a place in her den in exchange for stripping her of her magic. Today Lucrezia has moved on to more innocent endeavors, like wood carving and totally not creating more monstrosities to use as fodder.
