S U M M A R Y
Jaffar is rarely seen alone. He is either with Nino, or he's not around at all. Many in Valentia find him quite mysterious, as when he is by his lonesome he keeps to himself. Polite conversation doesn't go far with Jaffar, as his conversation topics range from the best time to assassinate someone (when they're eating or sleeping) to how he was born upon a pile of corpses. Lately, though, Jaffar has been trying to be more open to conversing with others. As he's mentioned to many, Jaffar was born atop a mass of dead bodies. An infant in a cradle of death. As a member of the Black Fang, Jaffar was raised not as a child, but as a tool. A killing machine. To this day, Jaffar struggles with coming to terms with the fact that he is more than an emotionless vessel made to kill. Assassination has been on his mind since birth. He's thought of himself as "A corpse. Or nearly one since birth." His fateful meeting with Nino has changed him, however. Her care and kindness towards him despite everything caused Jaffar to feel emotions stir inside him for the first time in his life. He has devoted himself and his life to making sure that she is safe and that she is happy because of this. In Rigel with Nino, Jaffar handles assassination work, sometimes with Lethe and sometimes without. There's no denying it would be nice for him to put aside assassination work and focus on realizing that he is more than just a killer, but his capabilities are matched by none. He, like Lethe, is not often sent on any covert missions and he mostly gets to remain by Nino's side keeping her safe from all who would do her harm. G O A L S Jaffar's goals
