Autumn

Set your eyes alight on this handsome beaut, the Keeper of Fire, Head of Fall Fun, second son of Goldsong & Valen, and one of the first hatchlings in the clan, this Fae named Autumn!

I chose to give this name to this Fae because his colors reminded me of leaves in Fall, or the other related colors of Autumn. He also goes by the name of Embers, for his colors also mirror that of the glowing remnants of fires that blazed, and for his talent with fire (read below).


Autumn is a quiet Dragon that mostly keeps to himself, and loves to practice his fire skills. Somehow, even though being born to Wind, he feels as though he is a Fire dragon at heart, and has special abilities with them, that, after a while of applying himself & study, he has gotten to come naturally to him. He has a kind nature and is very nice to all the Dragons in the clan, and never uses his fire for bad uses, or angrily. He went through the small school when Erigore was first starting, and was there to help her through the bumps and trials of the first school in the clan. Autumn enjoys woodland walks & flights, and searching in the forests around the Zephyr Steppes, and collects items from the outside and uses them to create crafts and decor for his den & others in the clan who wants his items. He enjoys the quiet of the walks and flights, but also doesn't mind if his wife or family tags along :) Though not trying to keep to his name, Autumn has found that he loves the season for which he is named after, and feels as though when the trees turn, it is as if they are lighting up in fire and he loves to see it, and to fly & feel the cool, Fall air on his skin & wings :)


Currently wed to the lovely Emerre, they have many wonderful times, but in the beginning, it wasn't always like that... In the small clan when it was just beginning, there wasn't much in the way of matches, but that wasn't a problem for Autumn as he had his sights set on the beautiful Cornucopia, daughter of the head of the school. Something about her had just caught his eye, and after a while of waiting for her to reciprocate his feelings and not seeing anything from her, he finally decided to tell her his feelings... but sadly, she didn't feel the same way and didn't see herself with him (even though he saw them together), and kindly told him the way she felt. He accepted the response and defeat, and went onwards with his life. While he worked on healing, he was also hoping to meet someone else... and that someone else introduced herself after hearing about what had happened between him & Cornucopia, and while being kind about it & sensitive to his feelings, Emerre told him she liked him and was waiting for the right time to come forward. They were both very sensitive about both of each others' feelings and as the shy derg she was, he hadn't realized anything until the day she came forward. At first, he didn't feel anything for her and pushed her away and tried to go on with life, looking for someone who shared his feelings, but after more & more time passing and Autumn not meeting anyone, he finally turned to Emerre and wanted to see where a relationship would go... And after some time of the two dergs getting to know each other, Autumn realized he had feelings growing for her and she also felt that her crush was growing deeper, and both fell in love with each other, and a while thereafter, they married. However, Autumn didn't want Cornucopia to feel as though he had settled for second best after being turned down by her, and after a chat with her, they both agreed & could see that what both couples had with their mates was real, actual, true love, and neither had sour feelings about it.
After the marriage, Autumn & Emerre welcomed into the world their 4 lovely daughters, and raised them in the ways of the SkyWings clan, and loved to see them blossom in their chosen fields and Roles they discovered. When Winter went to be Exalted, there was nothing more in the world that could've made this Fae & Ridgeback couple happier, and they are now one of the proudest families in the clan. Autumn loves watching his daughters grow up & have their own families, and loves being surrounded by his grand kids and other children that are part of his lineage. He is amazed by Vaderre's & PearSpot's progress in battle & is proud of Valentia & her fashion shop.
A while back, when he was on one of his woodland treks, he met his Familiar, Cindre, and seeing they both had similarities with Fire abilities, he formed & forged a close bond with the Ember Mouse, and now the heated rodent follows him around everywhere :)

Autmn has several Roles that he helps in with the clan, which are both very useful, although one might seem a bit more on the fun side.. First, he fulfills his title as the Keeper of Fire in the clan as he has such good powers with fire. He uses his abilities to help light & heat dens in the lairs, and control fires to make sure they don't burn too bright and he strives to keep the lair safe from any fires.
He has also worked with the dragons of the clan that are true Fire dragons, and they have helped him to hone his skills even better, and now he is among the ranks of the fire-mancers in the clan, and will occasionally join Koalemos, another well-known fire-mancer, in the shows that the Coatl performs to entertain those in the clan who aren't as inept with fire.
Autumn is also the head of fun activities he hosts in the fall called Fall Fun! These are activities that he comes up with to make the cold, windy, dreary months of Fall more fun and enjoyable for the Dragons in the SkyWings clan, like holding bonfires every Friday night with s'mores and coming up with all sorts of fun crafts to make with the fallen leaves, pinecones, twigs, acorns, rocks, branches and other fun nature items that can be found outside around the clan :) Autumn loves making others happy with his activities in the Fall, and loves seeing others find joy in the season he loves so much. As the lair has gotten bigger, he has expanded the activities to do in Fall Fun, and some of those other activities and fun things include a Hoedown for the whole clan in the middle of the season, Cider Night every week, cozy pajama parties, more craft times, and times when he gathers dergs with him to go searching for nature items to make & use in these craft times :) also on the nights of bonfires, he will use his fire skills to create fun images in the burning blazes to put on a spectacle for everyone gathered while they enjoy their treats. ^^)

Fun fact: The Citrine Armlet that he's currently wearing used to be his mom's until she got the Scarlet Sylvan Dress and found the armband on the dress didn't work with the Armlet, but the Armlet does work with Autumn :D
