Ill-tempered, vicious, and far more lonely than he would ever let on.
Tal A'den can usually be found brawling in the arena, the only place where people love him. In the ring, he doesn't always stop when his opponent is beaten. He doesn't always stop when his opponent is dead, either. When he isn't fighting, he is brusque, sullen, and suspicious. Most people agree that the only thing Tal A'den truly loves is his snake. For his part, he refuses to acknowledge the rumors that he feeds it with people he doesn't like... and the last person foolish enough to actually ask him about these rumors mysteriously went missing, giving rise to the local proverb: "Ask a stupid question, get fed to a snake." (This proverb is not spoken by wise individuals within Tal A'den's hearing.) After having been soundly defeated in the Arena by Cuyan - and yet left alive to wallow in his shame - Tal A'den has vowed revenge on the former soldier. But the only glory to be had is found in the Arena, not the gladiators' quarters, so he bides his time until a rematch is scheduled. In the meantime, he keeps close watch on the Skydancer, hoping to learn some secret or trick that will give him the advantage in their inevitable fight. Honor is a flexible thing, after all. Don't get him drunk. - - - Theme Song We Drink Your Blood by Powerwolf He/him/his Heteroflexible Mate: None | @@ |
