Though she is the youngest of her siblings, Celeste is the only of her siblings to stay behind in her birth clan, though not at her wishes. While all of her siblings got to make names for themselves, ruling other clans, Celeste was instructed to stay at home by her mother, in order to rule the clan in her place should Selene and Helios die. But Celeste does not particularly want to stay in her birthplace. She wants to see the world, to explore and decide her own fate. Despite her conflicting desires, Celeste knows that her becoming queen is what's best for the clan. Her adopted sisters are kind of incompetent. Celeste only wishes she could rule from afar, or perhaps travel the world before she has to become queen. Selene wants Celeste to finish her royal training before any of this, so Celeste is stuck at home.

Celeste takes her duties very seriously. If she does well, then her mother might let her go. Perhaps even just on a diplomacy mission or two? But so far, Celeste hasn't convinced her mother to let her go beyond the Isles. Then again, when's the last time Selene herself has been that far? Ever since her freedom, she's been scared to see how much of the world has changed. Perhaps it's the fear that she hasn't changed while the world stays the same, Celeste thinks. Well, despite how complicated their relationship may be, she does love her mother dearly, and her father as well.
