Sardothien

BIOGRAPHY
Much of Sardothien’s youth was spent in loneliness. Her sister Almsivi was instantly groomed to be Ulawayn’s little mouthpiece, and her brother Valikyr shut himself up with books as soon as he decided to be a librarian, so Sardothien usually spent her days wandering the halls and trying to talk to every faerie and dragon she found.

Her brothers and sisters, she discovered, had no time to talk to someone who wasn’t interesting. So she made herself interesting. Sardothien ventured outside the castle and made up stories about the landscape she saw, listened to conversations between dragons, mimicked the behaviors she found most pleasing. She tested out all her new personalities and tales on her father Bellamy, who had nothing but encouraging criticism for her. When she finally earned a simple “well done” and a flick of his Fae head fins, Sardothien felt the most indescribable sense of accomplishment.

It took a little while more of wandering around before Sardothien realized how she could be most useful to her court. All the little infiltrators, the baby half-faeries whose only purpose in life is to sabotage the Icewarden, Sardothien took under her wing. She brings them up on stories of faerie excellence and teaches them the art of integrating themselves with any group, how to seem fascinating and dazzling and how to get exactly what they want. Now by the time Lleros takes the little infiltrators out to be trained in the art of war, they’re armed with the social skills they’ll need to be quiet blades in the Icewarden’s ranks.

And that is Sardothien’s greatest accomplishment.
