Madrak

BIOGRAPHY
The third son of a royal couple, Madrak had a happy childhood. His softer nature usually meant that he didn't stand up for himself when his brother Aegis tried to get him to help with his pranks, and more than once Madrak was left to take the fault for them as well. Things usually turned out all right since nobody believed such a sweet boy could do things like Aegis was usually known for.

That, for a long time, was Madrak – loved by his family, loved by his clan. But then he made a mistake.

In wandering out alone one chilly night, he managed to stumble upon Corrine and Morgaine. They decided he was in faerie territory and dragged him, unwitting, to the Queen-Mother Ulawayn. She saw potential in his blood. His personality was a tad too soft for her, but she still laid a light enthrallment on him, determined to create new faeries from his royal blood.

When his children hatched from their shimmering faerie eggs, Ulawayn intended to kill Madrak. Lleros intervened that first time, pleading with Ulawayn to let Madrak's children grow up with their father, and once the three new faeries were full-grown, Mehmet took Madrak under her own enthrallment so that Ulawayn wouldn't kill him.

RELATIONSHIPS

Madrak's other daughter, Yukiya, is the one who takes after him the least. He happily bandages her wounds and sometimes chastises her for letting temper get the better of her, but Yukiya has a tendency to (equally as happily) ignore his advice. That's okay. He still loves her.

Madrak's only son, Arqa, loves listening to Madrak's stories. He has a bit more of a tendency to order Madrak around than either of his sisters do, but Madrak doesn't really resent Arqa for it. There's too much affection tangled up in his relationship with Arqa for anything else to butt in.
