A beloved cornerstone of the clan, Ivey has made it her mission to help every member of Thunder Hollow feel at home. Though her old age and arthritic bones make trekking around on visits difficult, Ivey determinedly makes rounds through sectors both Public and Private. Whether it's an encouraging phrase, a thoughtful gift, or a word of advice, she always seems to have what her clanmates need on their roughest days. It's this constant compassion that makes her such a fantastic Representative; she has a heart for the issues of others and genuinely wants to lend a hand in their struggles. Those who feel uneasy about voicing their worries through their Flight's own Representative will turn to Ivey, who gladly bears their questions in the Council. She has no qualms or holdouts; to her, no concern is too small for consideration. Perhaps it makes her long-winded and a tad too trusting, but it also makes her immensely compassionate. The clan loves her for it.

Ivey spent a great portion of her early life on the move, roving on well-worn paths across Sornieth with a small band of fellow Snappers after she reached adulthood. Their chosen route was among the most inclusive known to snapperkind, visiting every elemental territory at one point or another. The troupe's members were largely scientists of various vocations, who used the long circuit to pursue their interests in assorted conditions. Ivey unsurprisingly embraced her adoptive family's academic tradition, choosing to study botany under one of the clan's elders. Though being on the move made it difficult to cultivate plants for any length of time, she was still able to thrive with quick observations in the field and lengthy discussions about the numerous textbooks her clan dutifully lugged across Sornieth.

She made a few research contributions throughout her time, but her focus was less on breaking new ground and more on absorbing accurate knowledge. Though Snappers by nature are a breed that excels in memory, she was renowned in her clan for being more akin to a living textbook, able to spout precise measurements and factoids without a wink of hesitation. She became the go-to mentor for young botanists who joined the group, joyfully sharing her wisdom with any who took special interest.

However, as she grew older, her body became increasingly frail. The constant journey took a hefty toll on her, and pain soon became an unfortunate constant. Though many Snappers tolerate the aches of old age in silence until their eventual passing, Ivey decided that a more stationary existence would be her preference for her remaining years of life. She kept a keen eye out for a clan that could use a botanist like herself and eventually found one as she passed through the Shifting Expanse. A small trade caravan stayed with her troupe for a night and shared news of their fledgeling clan and its struggles. The tale of the young clan's scholarly leader sparked a sense of rightness in Ivey, and she decided to see the place for herself. She bid her lifelong family a heartfelt farewell and followed the caravan as it fetched supplies and returned home, to an expansive and alien forest on the coast of the Stormcatcher's domain.

With the plight and need of the tiny clan laid out immediately by her view from the Cliffs, Ivey couldn't think of a better place to conclude her travels. Ever since, she has worked tirelessly to stabilize Thunder Hollow through its every emergency, and her wisdom has been foundational for many of the clan's current members. As more and more of her first family slowly make the decision to retire alongside her in the now-peaceful land, she certainly feels as though she has made the right choice.

Onca is one of the members of Ivey's old Snapper troupe, who has since retired herself. The two are incredibly strong friends and enjoy a bit of light competition with one another.

Another recent retiree from Ivey's home clan, Agrius has taken a great liking to Thunder Hollow. He and Ivey aren't incredibly close, but they enjoy the occasional chat.

CHLORIS • former apprentice & friend
Though Chloris was initially worried her Fire heritage would cause tension as she pursued Ivey's botanical mentorship, her worries were soon alleviated. Now, the two are quite close.
