Unlike most Skydancers, Zahra's gift is not with other dragons, but with animals. Ever since she was a hatchling she's been fascinated by snakes, and they've been fascinated by her.

For the clan she's a familiar trainer, teaching them tricks to entertain dragons who come to the caravan during the day. She also cares for the beasts who pull the caravan as it travels across the Plague wasteland.

Luckily for this particular rat, Zahra doesn't plan on feeding him to her corn snake, Noodle. Instead, both Winston and Noodle are permanent members of Zahra's little animal family.
