Maidonner means "May Thunder". He was born in May, on a day filled with thunderstorms, rainbows, and dazzling sunlight. His colors are the green of new oak leaves, the grey of storm clouds, and the gold of a warm sunny day in May. Maidonner loves flowers and likes spending a lot of time lying in gardens and meadows on sunny days, sniffing the flowers and enjoying their colorful beauty all around him. He has a special liking for violets and roses.

Maidonner hatched from Brygid, the Matriarch's, second nest with her first mate, Rynzin. He and his older brother, Enyalius, are the oldest dragons born into the clan, children of the two founders. Maidonner also had two sisters, Ysandre and Susara, who decided to leave the clan and enter the service of the Gladekeeper. Like all dragons of Brygid's family, Maidonner sees himself as a protector of the clan and every dragon in it.

Maidonner is the only guardian of the clan who never went on a search for his charge, because she happened to find him first. Mainixe happened to be on her own search when she entered our clan territory and, being lost in thought, (quite literally) stumbled into Maidonner while he was lying in a meadow admiring the flowers. The two of them recognized each other as their mutual charges immediately. Mainixe decided to stay and the two of them live happily together ever since, protecting each other as well as the entire clan.
